OK

I have just Talked to Chris and the 'Doughboys' will have a sector, so, if you have US infatry 'stuff' come along and join us.

We will have our HQ camp up, Telephone wires out, and be eating and sleeping 'in the field' - though you could go back to the other place it wanted.

So, in that regard, here are our 'starting rules' for joining us -

Any Khaki pup tent is fine - post war, french etc - if you are staying overnight in our camp (as is a hole with a sheet over it if you want).

Any mix of M43s, M41s, Wool Trousers, Buckle Boots and Leggings, Great coats, scarves and massive gloves - in fact try and mix it up, rather then imagining there is a 'late war m43/early war m41 dichotomy'. Eveyone should have an M1 Helmet.

Either unbadged, or badged as 9th Infantry Division.

As yet the following have expressed their desire to attend/already booked:

Wladek
Yith
Lipton
CHThree
Oligoscenic
Horus
Marsha
Headshot
Gunman Josh
Ed
Barrie & Anne
Universal Gunner
Pete 59
Django
DT
DT+1

So roll on up chaps, should be a damn good weekend. :good:

Ah now I know why people call you "Downwind Marsha"

With their fieldcraft we may not spot the 'Doughboys' coming but we will sure smell them!

I'm giving this serious consideration, definately not up for sleeping in a slit trench  and at the moment I've only got my 160lb tent which is probably over the top so if I go it'll be sleeping in the tented area on a camp bed.

Weapons wise if I can sort out the mag feed problems on my BAR I might give that an outing.

Will make a final decision closer to the time, main issue is going to be how much college work I've got on.

OK, for all youses information: the HQ will be sleeping in pup tents, just back form the front, in the vicinity of our HQ.

If anyone wants to sleep in their foxhole overnight, then they are welcome to do so. The HQ will definitely have coffee on the go, and almost certainly somewhere where food can be conveniently heated up.

Any Canvas puptent is fine and Dandy, but if you have a modern tent then it will obviously have to be back wherever the modern tents are.

Now, I would suggest sharing pup tents, for added heat (and realism), but am by no means demanding it.

So, who is going to join us in frontline pup tents then?
