What will be the rules for vehicles?
No shooting into or out of?

I know:
Vehicles “hit by pyro” are out for 20 minutes and then must regen via C. Out of play vehicles are to have their hazard lights on.
Vehicles can be captured and used by the Russians (unlikely) but only for 20 minutes from point of capture – at that point they “run out of fuel”

First game:
I can see a likely weak spot will be German regen (knackered and tired players spending hours in regen recovering a la Arnhem). Regen points C and N are huge distances apart let alone B. Sitting out of the game for 20 minutes out of action on a roadway is going to be tricky esp as the enemy are moving unseen in the woods around you. Could we assign a vehicle as an ambulance thereby bringing up a regen with us?
It's just that I can see some possible frustration - Germans spend an hour or more building up a convoy - bang ambush sprung, no opportunity to progress as game stops dead (ambushed convoys are sitting ducks), regening players are at C, N or B so regrouping difficult.
So, if gameplay dies then could we prepare a contingency to be brought in - say Germans have two bandages as they have superior medical care or more medic bags?

It's not a gripe, just looking forward...

Makes sense with the medic bit I suppose. I suspect that the ruskis arent going to be as organised as everyone thinks tho (not dissing our organisational skills, more players working that tightly together - I hope to be proven wrong tho) but makes sense to have a backup plan.

Radios ...vehicles .....larger numbers ...how much are you planning on skewing the game towards the Germans eh !

Two bandages for both sides might be more useful

Meh, just concerned for players full five/six hours play and not one hours play with the rest trudging backwards and forwards to regen or just 'resting'.
They couldn't cope with regen at Arnhem and that was small!

No matter, question still remains - is the rule 'no shooting in or out of vehicles'?

I think Arnhem was a slightly different kettle of fish. There were so many smaller groups skirmishing if you left then came back you had trouble finding where the battle had moved to or where your groups was. I dont particularly see that happening here.

Nah , let em shoot in and out of the vehicles, just not in the front . So driver and passenger can't shoot/be shot the rest can .
And Kermit keep that feckin '42 away from my soft top . Blew holes in it at CR .

Can the soft top be removed easily? Save damage and also an opportunity to use it as an m/g mounted platform rather than just troop transport.

If you are allowing fire at vehicles it will be shot to bits...
