No chance I'm sneaking any of them past the wife! :)

I'll sort the UKARA out soon; only doing WW2 airsoft it can be a run around to get.

Just to echo everyones comments, big thanks to all the Fireball lads for putting on another great game. Thanks to Lutz for helping out commanding a gruppe and to Zug 2 for fighting so hard despite my efforts to get everyone killed.

Like a Cobra, he slithered forward,

Well I'm not sure about that, a snake slithers on its belly, at my age a crawl is on all fours with my fat ass sticking up in the air :slap: but had good support from Cheeky in particular who burned through his limited ammo supply to give covering fire :good:

Gareth we all have days like that, The tempation is to try and take spares of anything that can break or go wrong but something always go wrong, a spare gun is almost essential though

Looking forward to Avellino, but first I have to clean all that mud off my boots :giggle:

I would like to thank the Fireball team as well.
I would also like to express my special thanks to Tim and Gareth.
My day was not particular lucky too. First i forgot my belt at hone although i even packed another one (which does not fit me) to help out. Luckly Tim had a spare one which fitted perfectly. Then Tim allowed me to use the MG
42. Great fun but after the second mission i was able to take it out of action. Sorry Tim. A mission later robbing back to safety under heavy fire, my (tim's) belt buckle broke. Sorry Tim. Thanks to Gareth sacrifising his belt and 10min later when the whole fire fight was over but i was back in the game.

Lesson learned: you need more than just a spare gun and kameradship among WWII airsoft is great.
Thanks again guys.

No worries, mate. Glad I could help out. You had a lot more webbing than me and I had no working gun at that time either.

I think I've got a strap of yours. Dominic found it on the table and gave it to me. It's either yours or Tim's. I've got one of your grenade's too. We'll put that to use at San Marino!

Three of us travelled down from Sheffield. My first time at the site and I really enjoyed it. :good: The fireball team are a good bunch of guys and they made us all feel very welcome from the moment we met up in Mac D's.

I enjoyed the game play and the missions were a very good game mechanic. In the morning things were a little frantic for zug2. We seemed to be hemmed in on all sides with the allies virtually camping on our front step with one foot in the door. At lunch I learned that this was an unfortunate oversight in the game planning. :slap: After lunch things went better with more movement around the site and different missions offering different styles of game play. :happyclap:

Well done Tim for doing a fine job as leader. Always a pleasure. :D Well done all the guys in zug2. There was plenty of good teamwork from everyone and in the afternoon I think the general feeling amongst the team was that "We Rocked". :happyswing: A good days airsofting with plenty of period atmosphere and memorable moments. :happyclap: A good end to the day too, as we all headed off to the Alps with our stash of nazi chocolate gold. :giggle:

I hope to have some photos to post here when I get the time to sort them out. :|

Thanks again Fireball. I'll be signing up for your next adventure. :good:

All the best,
Steve.

.... and the run of bad luck continues.

Looks like there's an electrical fault on my Garand. Loose wire somewhere as it's firing intermittently.

I doubt it, mate. I had to buy it through someone, then get it downgraded as it was too hot out of the box, so I suspect I'm sh*t out of luck there.

I think it's a loose wire in the battery space, so hopefully not cataclysmic, just a case of hunting it down and sorting it out. Just another ball ache I could have done without, though.

Similar with my M1 mate, not only shooting at 400+ FPS the wire has snapped out of it's Battery connector. It had a tendency to slide back when pushed onto Lipo connector so may be worth a gander there first?

Just remebered on the way home from work and it had my actually laughing out loud....

The german attack from the trenches to the brits was repeled / Germans fell back

and the Brits started singing "Hitler, he only has one ball.... " :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

That and the fireworks for demolitions worked well. The one at the check point went on for ages! :good:

Yeah, sounds just like mine. I failed the chrono at RoTT by an impressive 70fps over the site limit, first time I'd used it at an event. That was pretty sickening. I had exactly the same thing with the battery connector as well; all the twisting to get the battery in snugly really strains the connectors.

I don't think it's the battery connector this time; it's the bit after that (technical speak here, black plastic thing with little mini green diodes on wot looks proper complicated). I've obviously tugged it a bit getting the battery out and it's resulting in an intermittent fault.

Means I'll have to mince around events like Danny La Rue for fear I knock the gun and it stops firing. :D

... some might say, no change there then!

I don't think it's a huge problem; just one of those irritating, pain in the ass faults.

Oh and looking at those pictures, those Bolle Tracker glasses make me look like I'm getting ready to be fired out of a cannon. :slap:
