1 Electric Fired Pyros to be deployed - Major ?

The day before myself and Major will put the wiring in place around the site.

On the morning someone (maybe me) will attach the pyro to the wires. With Major's legs so buggered he can't do it. He will however supervise me.

I will be picking up Major from his house and getting to the site nice and early.

2 US CP arranged Flag and Mortar Allocated - Yith ?

I can do that, but I suggest steve does it since he has the flag. I will already have placed field telephones at both CPs.

5 Artillery signs put up- Yith / CW ?

There will be a lot of these to do. I will try and arrange a clipboard and sheet to write down the locations of where each is placed. It may be best to get a couple of us doing this.

We also need someone to sit with Gucci when people are paying. I suggest one organiser from each team.

Ahh I can see a pattern developing , OC's review the troops ( take the payments) 2IC run around making it all work  Excellent milsim, although if i have to run up and down the hill too much in the morning i might be dead by the time the game starts.

Plan on getting there for 8 if possible .

What sort of time are you guys going to get there for in the morning, bearing in mind sunrise is at 8am that day!

That reminds me, we should encourage as many people as possible to get their deposits in at Close Action this Sunday.

We should get a marshall to place this when its needed... unless you hide it of course!

I'm probably going to try and handle that as I've done all the accounts so far...

We do however need people putting stuff at appropriate places around the site... etc...

We're going to need to say in the briefing, don't pick up or move any items from the game zone unless you are expressly told to do so.

I've now done the final order packs , inside an ammo box at your CP you'll find :-
Orders for the game 2 copies off
7 A5 maps for Squad leaders
ID cards for commanders and 2ICs that we are to carry at all times in case of capture
One Mortar to use as you like
Ammo box for storing players ammo and iems,. please keep this at the CP for safe storage .
Flag hanging up ( US Flag when Steve arrives) .
Large Briefing map which Daves bringing
Anything left at the CP should be safe from enemy capture as you are not allowed to go within 10m of the flag .

Also I've a suggested a Briefing of
1 Explain Game rules as in pack
2 Read out orders, explain on Maps
3 Confirm Squads and Leaders
4 Confirm mission and tactics with squads
5. Deployment
6 Game on confirmed over the radios at about 10.20 .

Reckon this will take approx 20 minutes to do right, so we need to get Gucci to do a bare minumim safety brief as the game rules will be explained in the field .

US deployment is up to you guys however I suggest place most at Bastogne to see the fireworks after we've taken Malmedy . Get a marshall to call most out leaving a reasonable force for us to attack . The rest we'll play by ear. I plan on asking for the surrender of Bastogne when the Germans are in place, just so you can tell me nuts . After that we'll do the barrage if we are all happy with this as a plan .

Dave will be responsible for setting up the signposts, one near the hole in the wall one near the trig point .
QRF depot will be two jerry cans and an ammo box, at the "hole in the wall" .
I'll leave the arty signs to whoevers bringing them . Suggest Gadge looks after the players at the site when he comes at 9 . its important he counts the numbers of support, full auto and single shot weapons so we can balance it up if needs be .

I'll be on site from hopefully 7.30 , setting this lot up .

And tonight I'm off to a Hawkwind gig ( yes i know i'm a sad old bastard) , so i'll be really up with it tommorrow !

Tell you what though , I'm genuinely excited by this event , I just hope it goes as well as possible.
