These will be the orders given out to the commanders to form the brief for the two games . They will be printed out in a historical font with suitable marks and logos, and will be used in conjunction with the game rules to determine the play . Commanders are aware of the game objectives and must interpret the orders to their troops , although it's suggested you keep to more a mil breifing than a game brefing . Ie we must hold Malmedy , rather than it's worth 10 points. I would suggets this keeps up a level of milsim however it's up to debate though . Map to follow .

US Orders for first Game

DO NOT ALLOW TO FALL INTO ENEMY HANDS

To : Officer Commanding, Combat Command B (CCB) US 99th Infantry Division

From : 99th ID Divisional HQ

Dated ; 17th December 1944 0930hrs
-----------------------------------------------------
COMMAND INTENT
Sir,
Following increased enemy activity in the Corp Sector yesterday, you are instructed to deploy CCB to the following towns and prepare defensive positions :- Trois Ponts, Bastogne and the Divisional fuel dump at Malmedy . It is imperative that these three towns be denied to the enemy. In addition, you must deploy and protect the QRF fuel and ammo dump which must be stopped from falling into enemy hands
RESOURCES
CCB
In addition to existing infantry forces, your CCB will have elements of airborne and British personal attached . CCB’s Command post as marked .
Artillery
Corps Artillery is available, although in limited supply . Artillery must be spotted through the normal frequencies via the CP , In addition a small detachment of 107mm mortars are assigned you for direct fire . Further Support
There is currently no armour or air cover available
Communications
Communications with forward areas have been disrupted, and atmospheric conditions and terrain are denying radio coverage. Currently communication by runner is the most effective method
Replacements.
Replacements are being gathered from rear areas , and fed forward as they become available. As seriously wounded troops return to your CP , Corp HQ will replace them with fresh troops for as long as transport to the area is available. It is possible that reinforcement will cease after a period. All troops are to carry FFDs and be expected to continue fighting with minor wounds.
INTEL
It is believed that the Germans are attempting a major assault through the Ardennes plateaux. Currently this force is assessed as at least three Armies, containing Wehrmacht , SS and Paratroops .
It is believed that infantry are being used to assault positions to clear a path for their armoured forces currently observed to the rear.
OSS indicates that German commandoes wearing US uniforms may be operating in forward areas . The precise nature of their operations is not yet understood, it is expected that they will be used in a reconnaissance or 5th column role. Unit commanders must therefore ensure that security is strictly enforced .
Further Intel relies on capture of enemy commanders, and this remains a priority objective if opportunity arises .

US orders for second Game
DO NOT ALLOW TO FALL INTO ENEMY HANDS

To : Officer Commanding, Combat Command B (CCB) US 99th Infantry Division

From : 99th ID Divisional HQ

Dated ; 17th December 1944 1230hrs
-----------------------------------------------------
COMMAND INTENT
Sir,
Following the action earlier today , the German forces have been cut off in Trois Ponts . You are ordered to redeploy your forces to Bastogne and Stavelot and prepare for the following counter offensive
1 Re capture of Trois Ponts
2 Stopping the Germans reinforcing Trois Ponts .
Intel indicates that the German will run out of ammunition by 1430 approximately unless reinforced .
RESOURCES

It is possible that reinforcement will cease after a period. All troops are to carry FFDs and be expected to continue fighting with minor wounds.
INTEL
The destruction of several bridges late last night has slowed the German Panzer thrust .
The Germans as desperate to regain the initiative. If they can force a reinforcement of Trois Ponts , then there is a real possibility of them buying enough time to repair the bridges and bring up their tanks .
It has recently come ot our attention that last night an airplane carrying British Staff officers lost its way in the fog and crashed somewhere in the Area to the south of Bastogne. It is believed one tried to parachute out before the crash carrying a top secret copy of SHAEFS plans to invade Germany . It is imperative that this plan be retrieved before the Germans have chance to search for it .
Further Intel relies on capture of enemy commanders, and this remains a priority objective if opportunity arises .
