Hi guys,

Not PBI but it is British, and I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this. Last weekend I was looking through some old photos with my nan, and she came across a picture of her brother (my great uncle) from the war. Turns out he was in said Middlesex Regiment, and was reported MIA on 'Black Christmas' in 1941 when the Japs overtook Hong Kong.

Unfortunately the picture only showed his head, with very little of the uniform. My searches on google havn't been productive (some bits and pieces of information here and there, nothing particularly consise though), but I would very much like to find some good quality pictures of the regiment, along with any information regarding the battle.

I've been reluctant to ask (if you spend enough time on ASCUK you'll understand...), but I'd be very grateful if anyone could help me with this.

Thanks :)

Your best bet is to contact the regimental association or the regimental museum.

Failing that the British Legion may be able to pass you details on to old soldiers fomr the appropriate battalion.
