I'm afraid you are right. There is no complete source for KD and JG kit.
In the UK we would probably got to WPG for KD kit, as his range covers most variations.
For JG kit his Battle dress jacket and shirt are OK. The trousers he does are 44 pattern equipment so are really post war. The Akubra Slouch hat he does is good.
As part of a group that does a Chindit impression we would use Replicators for JG trousers, battledress and shirts as they make an OK version, though his buttons are not a perfect match to originals.
You will find us happy to help. Maybe concentrate on one portrayal to start and we can advise what to and what not to get.
Bear in mind, there were lots of units in 7th Armoured and, they didn't just fight in Africa. I have a set of BD badged up as 8th Hussars, who were the recce Regiment of 7th Armoured.
