ASDA are selling off their winter clothing range and they do a dark browny-green cap for £3.50 in the sales. Lined with brown fleece material to keep your noggin warm and looking quite like a Brit' mountain cap from the front. I've bought one, removed the four bands of pointless 'tendy' stitching down either side (simple unpicking, took me 20mins) and removed the printed design down one side with a bit of emery paper. The adjuster on the back is the only bad looking part of it then when worn as-is, but if it's worn with a snow-suit/jacket hood up, then it looks just right. BTW, it has no fold-down ear flaps, but who uses them, eh?

This it?
That's the one! I've unpicked the banded stitching down the sides and removed the 'artwork' that is down the left-hand side. That picture makes it look a bit strange in shape. My peak looks to be a bit bigger and the height of my cap is shorter, but is prob' just the photo angle.

Please excuse the West German snow smock/poncho. I don't have a Brit snow suit yet, and the Brit beige/stone mountain suit looks silly in the snow
