Post war ones usually have a thicker sole and tend to have had all the pebbles bulled off, rather than just the tow cap and heel.

I wear post war ammo boots, nobody tend s to notice.

But I also wear post war ones for airsofting... :rasp:

I wear either repro ones or post war ones that have not been got at by the guards (i.e. bulled all over and double soled) for re-enacting...

I have a 1953 dated pair-never seen an original WW2 pair to compare so cannot comment :oops:
