I will myself be purchasing a new repro BD soon as I all my BDs are size 9. I now take a size 15. I will likely be going to Dickie Knight or Pegasus.

Ah, a growth spurt - I hope you don't grow much taller as it will cost you a fortune.

An alternative to tailoring is change your body size to suit the suit. The worst of wearing kit occasionally is that somehow it gets a bit 'snugger' on each outing, probably due to non-authentic WW2 food and lifestyle.
On the other hand its good excuse for you gain a few pounds Jubai!

A few things i noticed which I want to add my 2 shillings worth.

Heh, chaps in the day put up with sizes they were issued with, its not a Saville Row suit.

Actually, this is a common misconception, if you check the B. L. Davies book, for those that want a book, you will see clearly the RAOC Tailor at work with a before and after on the BD of 3 chaps. BDs were adjusted to fit properly. I have 3 size 9 BDs in my collection, all tailored differently. 2 from the same maker, same month of manufacture.

SOF are very honest in that they state there sizig is *not* the same as wartime BD sizes as mens body shapes have changed in the last 60 years.

I'm pretty sure your *best* BD was tailored but not your second set, Ive an account of the 49th div in normandy where they mention getting back their best after months of it being on unit transport and being pleased to have clean kit that fitted properly. The CQMS would have tons of battledress in theatre and it woudl be thrown at you, i'm sure during significant period out of the line the unit tailor *might* sort it out but I doubt it was that common for the suit you were supposed to sleep in a ditch in.

Ah, my bad. I though size 9 was for 5'7"-5'8" and size 15 was 5'11"- 6'0" AND I'd got it into my head you were a youngster. :slap:

If you already have the BD, then perhaps PBI is for you. I can say, as a real major nitpicker, its actually very good on the authenticity front. Thereby you can start in a good group and also re-enact with a group full of other airsofters.

Simon

Thats very kind of you to say mate and coming from yourself (and by that i mean I know how high your standards are and how much time you put in to research etc) it's a real compliment.

Seriously, means a lot.
