Clifton matts found a pair of his grandads old wwii gaiters.
Look like normal 37 pattern but twice as high with four tabs.
Who woudl have been issued these, i've not seen em before/.

Despatch riders perhaps?
I know they had special hi-leg boots, but this could be an alternative?

Easy this one !!
But will I get "battered" for being a swot ?
Both the RAF and Navy used taller gaitors, the RAF normally in blue So if they are o/d they are probably naval but the home guard were issued web gaitors instead of leather.
