How much would a good pair of genuine war dated ammo boots cost/be valued at?
How much would an clean and tidy unissued pair with clear stamping/markings be worth?

Size?
Size 7.
(But surely size is irrelevant as it would be a shame to use an unissued pair, surely? They've lasted over 65 years without someone sticking their feet in 'em, creasing them up and wearing down their surfaces, it's be a shame for someone to spoil a pair that have been kept so immaculate/museum-piece, just to be another nameless re-enactor/airsofter, no?)

People do wear original dated boots, obviously not for battling in though!... Size 7 certainly moves them more into the collectors market. Though there are some ladies who'd definitely consider wearing them for ATS.
I think I'd be looking somewhere in the region of £50 to £100. Where in that region, I couldn't say!

Oh yes, I've seem them, and I defiantly would love to have a proper pair for 'show' events. I'd have to find some that were used as I'd hate myself if I spoiled an unissued pair.
Not a hope in hell of getting a dated pair for my size feet anyways (even repros' don't go above 12
)*.

Really? ![]()
Grade 1 used DMS boots go for £40-£110... ![]()
Still good news anyway, as any value is a profit for me now owning them!
* I've always been using a cut down pair of Boots, Cardboard, Horrible in my size. Anklets hide the nastiness!

im afraid i use a verry used pair of 43 dated boots, strangly when i got them they had never had studs in them and certainly were not parade boots judging by their condition.got to stress these wernt colectors pieces ,even had brownish areas sugesting they had once been brown then polished black.

Oh, I've no beef with those who use dated gear, all of my webbing is period/none repro'. I'd happily use a used pair of dated/period ammo boots if they were to come my way in my size
Unissued webbing is a different ball game in my eyes, as there's loads of it about, but unissed ammo boots are something of a rare bird.

Dadio mate - do you think they may have been officer's boots - given the brownness and lack of studs?
I'm a hero with coward's legs.

entirely possible they were officers boots but they'v been re-polished in black at some piont and heavily used .its the heavily used and no studs that puzzled me?but im a little off topic now.

Having been there and done that I may be able to shed some light on the matter of the studless boots.
In my younger years in a Land far far away we used to strut around in fantastic polished bulled boots just before we nicked someone for something or other with our famous Red Caps on
. Our boots bulled to perfection many of the lads used to wear ammo boots without studs,They said because they were more ridged held the polish better but I guess they were quite an effective weapon in the Private Privates parts
we also used to raid stores for the Guards boots which were thrown out and re use them this is probably where studless ones came from. It was only when I changed profession in 1990 that i got rid of my own WW2 ammo boots which were used for cerimonial duties. It just goes to show you that we as a country can make boots but fail at making cars. Best leave that to the Germans Hey.

I use a pair 1943 dated boots at reenactment events ,a tad too scarce to risk them at airsoft, and I am a size 7 ,let me know if you decide to sell them.

If you want, I can see if the 14s are still for sale.
If you know someone who has size 14 ammo boots (I don't mind if they're post-way dated) that may be for sale, that would be terrific!
Many thanks.
