Looks very close to a late war (green canvas, rather than the earlier tan) to me indeed! It might even be an original from a Commonwealth country.

To be honest it could even be a proper army one. I think the missing info will be in the internals. All the external stuff seems to be right to me.
Unfortunately, I will never be able to tell, someone obviously wanted it very badly. I had a few bids, but it went for quite a bit in the end.

Yeah... that's a good price for a proper one. I've seen them higher in shops, but those were silly prices.
