AMMO!
The game will run on restricted ammo, you will acquire and be issued ammo in the field. This ammo will be supplied as .25 bbs. If you wish to use some other weight of bb then you must carry it with you, but only use the amount you have been given - discarding your .25 issue.
Ammunition may not be exchanged between sides, and any enemy ammo found - in the field or on corpses- should be left where it is.
Grenades will also be supplied by us, and as with ammo they have a limited supply.
MEDIC!
The game will use the 'progressive medic' system. Although all scenarios will uses a 'medic and dead' system, not all players will have a bandage to be mediced. You will have to 'earn' a bandage by surviving the last encounter. 'to the last bullet' is a sacrifice you, and your commander, will have to weigh up carefully, and cowardice is thus incentive-ised.

very nice idea,
"Take that you rotton helping of strawberry flan!"
Joseph Porta to "strawberrys and cream", in the sven hassel book ,ogpu prison
It worked well at the last event!
Command, Control and Orders
As with everything I have run before Chambois will require people to follow orders and work together. You will be given orders by those in command, and will be expected to follow them. This to make everyone's experience better and we do not tolerate people deciding this is 'not for them' and working as what is known as a 'lone wolf'.
The game is about tension. You may be tasked with holding a line which does not come under attack, manning your positions for half an hour without activity.Trust that the organisers will make sure that such 'activity less' roles are swapped amongst their side fairly and do not decide their is more fun to be had elsewhere and abandon your post.
We have never had to enforce this in all the games we have run, people have always played in the spirit of the event.
This is not to say to you will not be faced with choices and a chance to use your initiative, you will as our orders are designed to leave the details to the players. But your initiative will be used as part of a team, squad or section, working together to secure whatever objective is needed of them.
