I've just seen the list of stuff Richard's lending out to help people out.
Piling my gear up last night I realised at least half of it was for other people ...MP40 & mags , SS smock, flecktarn jacket, splinter jacket ,helmet , glasses .

It's no wonder we all have so much crap to transport around

I have to laugh at some of the questions I'm being asked, I think you might be onto something with your thoughts on airsofters Jay:

"never been to a 24hr event without toilets before. do we a. poop in a bag and take away or b. dig a hole.

know it sounds odd but didnt think to ask before"

Yep no probs, I would suggest one or two per camp rather than every man and his bro having on though .
I suspect with all the rain finding dry wood will be a challenge.
Hows the back ?

Back is stil screwed.

Wet woods not a problem with an axe, a knife and a bit of cotton wool :)

My belt order is really light my bergan with most of our cmaping/keeping dry at night kit is mahoosive but i should be able to hump it to the axis camp unless we can stick it on a vehicle?

Isn't there a bit of a risk by starting fires in pine-needle covered woodland floor?

Hence fire pit, stone ring round it and sweep the needles out the way?

All German kit well truck down to the camp . We'll probably truck the Germans down as well. I'll probably keep asking you if you're ok during the weekend , when this gets to be anoying tell me to piss off ,though take it as concern not mathering :D .

Re fires you're all grown ups . We don't want massive 5th Nov bonfires but a couple of small camp fires will be sound .

Let's make that clear to all then. I can see some numpty gathering a few needles together on top of the needle bed and putting a match to it.

It's terrifying the speed that shit goes up, my relatives nearly lost their house in a massive forest fire (in Canada) because of some drunk students doing just that.

I'm cautious...

I'm also now running on the Jay method of dealing with airsofters.

Hmm, might build a reflector and have a nice 'group basha' for warmth and drying out.

Did someone mention the magic word? - Fire!

I'll chuck my small hand-axe in with the kit. I think the felling axe might be a bit excessive....
