boy do I have alot of stuff. I know Im packing for both me and craig as hes a bit short on space at his place but 2 and a halfish storage type boxes of stuff seems alot. then again with the food/camping stoves/ponchos/other bits its all needed so cant really be thinned down. at least a fair chunk will go into my musette pack once i get my webbing on. but still looks like alot

Anyone else finding the same problem?

Also its been maannnnyyyy years since I used a camping stove. I have 2 little 1 ring burners to cook on. how quick do they go through gas. have 4 little canisters for each but not sure if thats to much/not enough

got one of these

As they were little single ring jobs and can only fit one mess tin on at once figured one for me one for craig. or one for the meat one for the rice etc.

I'm bringing as much 'cooks' in seconds stuff as possible.

That and plenty of fruit and chocolate.

I suggest get meals in tins from the supermarket. I'd suggest you don't want to be cooking- more heating things up . Also bear in mind you don't need that much food for one 24 hour period .

Dont get me started on that stuff. bleagh nasty evil bread. A few companies now are doing rolls that are passable but they are still very crumbly and dry. We make our own bread but even thats hit and miss on how it turns out.

Rhys, don't forget the kitchen sink  here's my schedule, Stop at Little Thief A41 en route, have Olympic breakfast, arrive & wobble about burning the breakfast off, biscuits for snack, pies for tea, snared rabbit for breakfast testing out how good Rhys's stove is, then after the event back to the Little Chef

hehe steve we're going up friday so need one extra meal.

If you actually catch a rabbit I'll happily cook it for ya. Used to hunt vermin for various farmers and market gardners so well versed in gutting/skinning/cooking em. Though they cook better slow cooked with a sauce to keep them moist. they are also easier to hack up with a pair of garden one handed shears.
