Hi all, after yet another fantastic weekend of Ops at Tudders BUT yet again groups not turning up that booked to come , Im not running weekend Ops any more, it cost me to much money and time to sit in the field with 20 guys when its 30 Im expecting;(
So....from now on Theme Ops will be a 1 day event at £30 for the day and limited to 20 players pre-booked and PAID only!, 10 per side. We have plenty of themes to chose from and as Im set up for the whole weekend, the Sat will be one theme the Sun another. Guys that want to play both themes can book the weekend at £50.
Included in these Theme Ops DAYS will be.
WW2
Cold War
Silent War
Enforcer
Arrive the night before or by 8.30 in the morning and finish at 4pm.
I think this new format will be a better way to run as not everyone can make weekend commitments all the time.

However, Dog company are splitting into french resistance and Wolverines to help balance the game.

Met up with the 16th SS at Stoneleigh today and I berated Forester for signing up for Caen. Heh, turns out they persuaded Josh that the 222 needed a crew of three (driver, commander and m/g gunner) and so all got free places for Josh to use the 222 in-game.
BTW Wolverine was definitely in WW2 (proof - top right) 
Josh has taken two full page adverts for Caen in the WW2 reenacting magazine, he won't be making any money on this event...

Just had a look at Gunman's forum - very underwhelming posting about the event. Hardly any posting at all - who are these people that attend?? Shite organisation too - barely a scenario or battle outline, it is left to punters to find directions. Including all the marshals there are around 50 allied and 30 German (can't say whether they have paid though or if they even turn up). A flurry of excitement at being fed for every meal over the weekend and a few posts from Welsh - but the rest of Dog Co are very quiet.

By the way, anyone know what happened to young Tom leaving Dog Co and WW2? Alex was a bit cryptic and didn't spill the beans.

This game looks like a disaster waiting to happen, only half of the players seem to have paid! Of course, that could just be josh being useless and not updating but, it doesn't bode well. He could end up seriously out of pocket for this one.
