Cerberus now have use of another site at Doncaster that has a lot of potential (ignoring the pirate ship!)
It's not been in use for four years so will be pretty overgrown now I should think. Not sure what kind of game it lends itself too (raid on heaquarters, research facility...)
The Earth Centre, Conisborough, Doncaster

Cerberus Airsoft are pleased to announce that we have secured the sole use of the Earth Centre for Airsoft on an indefinite contract.
Airsoft with a difference - this is a totally unique site. The Earth Centre used to be an educational nature theme site before it closed down in 2004, since then its been mothballed and remains largely untouched. It covers 160 acres of varied terrain, multi levels and with plenty of features, there are hills but nothing like the ones at our woodland site and it's much easier on your legs.
Excellent transport links include it’s own railway station with regular direct trains from Doncaster and Sheffield, the site is just 5 minutes from the A1 and even has it’s own mooring quay if you want to arrive by boat along the river Don.
The Safe Zone is located in what was the Cafe/Office building and is complete with plenty of tables and chairs on the ground floor with more upstairs. It has a fully intact kitchen and serving area’s as well as plenty of flushing toilets, showers and changing rooms. The same building will house the Ops/briefing rooms used in scenarios.
The rest of the site has many buildings, large and small, most of which are multi storey spread around the site. Other features include an underground tunnel system, a large lake, two bridges, a watch tower with zip wires, an assault course, many wooded areas, open fields, roads and tracks, a village and even a pirate ship. The possibilities for this site are limitless.
Clearly, this is a very special site and initially we'll use it for special events like 24hr combat missions and themed games. We're busy planning the first 24hr event and more details will be revealed soon. Through the winter months we'll put up some dates for open days there as well.
Over the next few weeks we'll be holding some preview open days so players can have a good look around and get a better feel of the site. If you'd like to be invited on one of these days just let us know.

call me cynical but

strikes me as ......"we may have blagged it but it'll be touch and go / feckin expensive."
Be interesting to see if they get more than one crack at it , the locals aren't that friendly .

Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4-O6vC4aBo

First few frames I thought 'Oh, looks too modern' but that vaulted entrance looks like a hanger! Awesome watch tower/flakturm! Gun emplacement with ditched barricade. Field HQ. Bridge. Research facility. Rocket launch site. Nice long bridge. Even the ship has possibilities (although does still look alike a galleon  )

More depressing is the waste of public money!

Can't agree more on the waste of money.....

Looks like a great site, although, like Guy, I do have my doubts if the owners realise how destructive airsoft can be.

Meh, it's a derelict site, ripe for the bulldozers and an mixed housing/light industrial estate (with it's own rail station). Bet the trust/gov are wrangling over ownership of the land right now!

Yup, i can see the whole lot getting bulldozed as well. Yet another huge waste of money...

Regarding it's use for WW2 airsoft, well, the vast majority of the site looks very, very GAY. Still, give me 100L of AVPIN and a dozen 25g maroons, and i could remodel it quite nicely

Conveniently forgetting how 'modern' 1920s and 30s architecture was in Germany! Britain was stuck in Victoriana in the 1940's though. More modern than modern stuff!

I'll take your art deco comments on board ...however a lot of fascist architecture was very classical in origin .....this place looks more like Jurassic Park

Bugger Deco, more Bauhaus!

I don't disagree though, it will probably stretch the imagination of most too far.

Still, Boys from Brazil sounds interesting
* looks it up on interweb 'cos I've no idea what you are on about! *

Josh.....why does it always come back to Josh. I'm just waiting for that fucktard to try and threaten someone for copyright infringement for using the phrase "Filmsim" now. Dumb fuck probably wont even be able to work out that you can't copyright a commonly used phrase (which is why those cheese-eating surrender-monkey french fucks at 3PSA have NEVER successfully sued ANYONE else who uses the phrase "hop-up", even though they reckon they own the rights to the term)

He really is a fucking inbred web-footed swife shagging ginger cock whose place on the evolutionary scale is below that of Amoeba's, Politicians and vegetables.

"cut the string"? more like "string the bastard up" I reckon.
