ok you guys know what I do for a living ....er transglobal purchasing incase you had forgotten.
Exchange rates have gone bonkers as of late incase no one has noticed, Indian ruppee, HK Dollar , GBP USD have all dropped in value ,making buying anything in the UK v difficult at themoment ...won't even go into the effect of interest rates ..no.....not our's ....overseas interest rates.

Hell, it's hardly quantum physics. Crap exchange rates makes it hella more expensive to import. Wonder why they cant grasp that SIMPLE fact!
