As long as this is dealt with swiftly internally and the authorities are made aware of UKARAs response (if necessary) I don't see why the defence as a whole should be affected.

UKARA's defence scheme is a bucket of cold piss IMHO . They set the rules , they have no power to enforce and they couldn't get the Boomer Club on side.

I think the big problem with airsoft is the age of the demographic. Lots of early 20-somethings who all thing they know best, then lots of people in their 40s don't have much of a clue and should know better.

I personally think retail sales would be fine if UKARA had given all forums database access without asking them to jump through hoops to gain access, giving sellers the confidence to do so, no secondhand sales means no money to buy new purchases in most cases, I wonder what retailer along with another tried to block this, and then the prick uses his own access to fuel second hand sales on his own forum, you know the one where you can't mention another forum/site/retailer, yeah them again,
Even the forums with sales of rifs still allowed are slow in the sales dept as people have no confidence.

I blame Ego. Fluffycunt and Beakershite love to be the centre of attention, they like to think that they are the epicentre of Airsoft in the UK. I persuaded Grogan to continue RIF sales on their forum (I put up a similar disclaimer/instruction notice) and it's been a lively section with no problems thus far...

I presume ASCUK wanted the kudos of an accredited sales section where sellers could be confident of who they were selling to. I can see that would be a major benefit to sellers, but there is no reason to pull it altogether, other than pique.

BTW, I hadn't seen the Zero One forum before today - they have a busy RIF sales section too. Now I know where all the ASCUK sellers went!
