What was Monaf enthusing about? Does he know about our potential plans?

Yes, that's what Paul said - one day only and I think it's the week before 'our' date

I have just had a right go at Monaf on the phone. Of course he knows about it, he's so far up Charlies arse he can clean his teeth from the inside. On sunday, I made it clear to both of them to keep their gobs shut until things were concrete. Now I find out that he's rung David up enthusing about it, yet when I phone him, he gives me some crap about "just phoning David up to tell him about Josh". I'm going to speak to Charlie in a bit, and find out what the hell is going on.

I can tell you that at the moment, given that Monaf couldnt even keep his gob shut for 72 hrs, i'm very seriously considering fecking the whole thing off.

Agreed , the fact he is prepared to divulge commercial intercompany discussions which is has no involvement in , to complete strangers, says to me the blokes a fucking idiot . Hasn't he heard of the commonly used phrase commercial confidentiality ?

Mind you , don't plan on telling him anything ever again , a useful lesson learned there.

Noo, he rang me about the Eagles bookings! Don't forget what he tells Jay as part of CiA he tells us all so he hasn't repeated anything we didn't know already. So, I'm not a 'complete stranger' - I did a shoot with him last week and I'm part of CiA who he hopes will be organising the WW2 event at Lonmore! And as far as I can see isn't this going to be like the AI/Gunman event, hence our free advertising?

Don't get things too out of perspective...

I'm just curious as to why he wants to work so closely with Gunman if he hated the D-Day event that much!

If in doubt kept stumm ,as I told you I've done this for a living for the last 15 years .

Negotiations between Gunman Airsoft , Ambush Adventures and Landmarc are nothing to do with AI magazine , it's employees or CiA / us/ you . Josh told me , which is his perogative, as might Ambush , but Monaf has no reason to get involved . Equally any dealings we might have with Ambush are between CiA and Ambush, not via some magazine editor .

It's unprofessional behaviour , and we should bear this in mind before we say anything to him, as I suspect he has a big flapping mouth and anything you say will be told to anybody Paul wants to impress at the time .

I'd have thought you'd have been more media savvy .

Because Josh has booked 12 full page adds at £500 a pop . And Josh told me that !
Also lots of other organsiers won't have him around as you might recall him telling us at DDay.

Ah! Gotcha. The power of green.

PS: That little 'media savvy' comment was a bit below the belt Guy.

Hmm, nicely patronising there Guy.

I'm going to be bugging out for a few days, I have a shed load of stuff that needs my attention. I'll be on top of the admin and Eagles bookings but otherwise I'll speak to you all after the weekend.

I dunno why, but i'm getting a nasty feeling about all of this. When I get this knot in my gut, it is very rarely wrong.

The reason: There is a fucking good chance this will be leaked to Josh before TEHL. I can foresee this turning into a great big clusterfuck.

Then there are other reasons. There are facilities I know of that would be just as awesome - and have not been used for Airsoft so far. Dean's Hill Depot being a great example. If we get one hundred people at 75 quid a pop thats 7500 quid to get the site, insurance, pyro, props etc etc. Is it more work? hell yes. But it has benefits. Namely that it means we are not just restricted to current Airsoft sites - plus we don't run the risk of getting embroiled in a big game of politics between two site operators.

Your thoughts?

Agreed about the politics - we have always prided ourselves being site independent, free to play wherever we choose - and site operators are delighted to have us.

It would be a shame to lose any aspect of that just (or gain a reputation) for the sake of gaining one site, no matter how good, no matter what the coup.

Agreed As I've said before , for as irritating as Josh can be , he has played fair with us in our dealing with him , and I feel he's getting a raw deal out of Longmoor now .
Whilst I would be keen to play a big game there for lots of reasons, I'm not sure it's worth being total cnuts to get.

Yep, no point in burning bridges, but then nothing to stop us getting a site like that for a game that doesn't clash.

Of course, if things do fall through with Josh at a later date, nothing to stop us doing something then!
