OK, good idea.

I really don't want Josh to get pissed off. Like I've said in a thread elsewhere, we really should be trying to work together on games like this.

My only problem is I really dislike Josh's ethos around games and his method of running them. I'd hate to see a venue like Longmoor used in as poor a way as the site for D-Day was. We could run a game that's 100 times better I feel.

I'll play the "non-commital till April" card then.

Yep - good plan "we've got two games ot get going etc"
Hopefully it'll become clearer whats going on by then

Done. Spoke to Charlie and said that due to "other issues" we couldn't commit to anything before April.

Finaly we have a result. Carentan will be run on the 8-9 November 2008 at Longmoor training facility.

Price £85 per head and we will have the whole place to ourselves from 10am - 6pm Sat and 10am - 2pm Sunday.

I was thinking what might happen if Josh found out that we were involved (however circumspectly) in the November Longmoor site game.

I thought we ought to have an 'official' line we could use so as not to lie and we singing from the same hymn sheet (to use a stupid phrase).

Josh: I hear CiA were negotiating to pinch the Longmore site from me.

CiA: No Josh - we were offered the dates but we declined...

I just wanted something that told a simple truth as I have an aversion to lying

I'd go with the above because that's what happened!

Agreed ,

He'd probably phone me if it did come out, I can spin it to look like we were deliberately not stepping on his toes ...."Charlie shit stirring mate ? didn't want to get involved!"
