Bought some good stuff of EPIC via ebay . Service is pretty good .

The Q is what are we looking for them to do ? Offer them a portal here in exchange for a small members discount ? Also do we invite them all and end up with all the usual names or just let em have space like on ASSCOCK ?

Guy's tried SueSue - I don't think they are ambitious, marketing-wise! I haven't seen the Singapore traders making direct contact on other forums - be interested to see if that isn't the case. Replicators had a thread for a while but I think he had a bit of flak!

not seen this then
http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2 ... php?t=1627
from the bloke I bought my tunics off.

I did - but that thread died out a while ago. Thing is, as a business it's hard to find the time to deal through forums when you have a much wider public contacting you directly through ads/ebay. Warren is a different matter as airsoft is his part-time business.

(Case history, 6mil and Phoenix - 6mil have a section on the Phoenix forum but Rob can't be arsed to look at it now, took him so long to deal with enquiries he gave up. In any case, if the punter wanted something they would contact 6mil through usual channels of email/phone/visit!! Also, take a look at the trader's sections on ASCUK - mostly very tardy/slow/non-existent contact)

Still, no harm contacting a few bods - don't expect them to fall over themselves to take up the offer, and if they do it won't last!

Maybe the best way would be to introduce a banner system for ads? Being an IT cretin I have no idea if this is possible.

I can see your point abut accessing this forum ....and TBH I would have thought they will pick up sales through the normal channels anyway . HOOOEVER I like the idea of involving other companies, it may help to cross fertilise .

Banner ads are OK, but this would infer the retailer would be charged. I'd prefer something along the lines of a deal for our punters as Warren's discount.

If they did have thir own thread then I would expect them to be active and make use of the facility - special offers, new-in-this-month type of stuff. i.e. a service to our community.

Yep only 4 more weeks till he's back at school TF , although I'm sure this craze will have worn off long before then (probably after dad's flaked out £00's on kit.
Bedtime seems to be 10pm (based on yesterdays posting) which is the same as my 14 year olds.
Hey ho , and I thought Lewis was apain in the ass .

Nope it was what was needed . Did consider if we offer ot delete the thread so he can start again to avoid 50 posts all pointing out what a wanker he's been .

*grins a thought of response on ASCUK*

Not at all - I hope it gives him seconds thoughts about whether it was a good idea to join this forum at all. If he wants to chat to Lewis what's wrong with MSN! Bloomin school holidays/

Well i hope its not liek 'training' lewis all over again :)

To be honest I think Lewis is going to do allright, he's got his head around looking stuff up firs tand seems to be enjoying researching.

Its acrying shame he told me via pm that his mates rip the piss out of him for reading and trying to learn about history.

I told him they were probably jealous as he was obviosuly brighter than them and knew the vlaue of knowledge.

Excellent secondary post Gadge - very positive. I'm reserving judgement on Lewis until I talk to him on Sunday!
