No, no, no. How rude would that be? We must wait for our host's say-so - in any case we need to have face to face discussion else a recce could be a waste of time. We know the site is fine, that is only one element.

Much more important at this point in time is to sort Jedburgh out for which a site walk and planning meeting is required.

Well, then why all the discussion earlier in this thread about meeting this weekend? :slap:

Perfectly happy to take a drive to Wrexham for Jedburgh this weekend instead. I mentioned to Pete last week about needing to see the Glyn Ceriog site to see what's grown/been chopped.

Thing is, once this weekend is out of the way, I've no other weekends free until after April 10th, so I'm keen to get things in the diary.

Because Pete said he was available next weekend and asked who else was. If Cerberus are OK for a face to face this weekend then great, otherwise its a hell of a long way to go just to look at a forest!

Guy needs to be at a Jedburgh meeting and arrange keys so I'll ask him to sort dates (BTW if you were wondering about Guy's absence, he moved house last week and doesn't have internet yet.)

All of the above is why I can rarely make site visits...

Why do we need keys for Glyn Ceriog? It's open to the public and there's plenty of parking on the road. Lets just go there and take a walk around the place!

LOL, keen is good! We do need to let punters know in fairly short order that the venue & event length will be changing. And I still haven't told Tony that we won't be using his site, just until it is clear we have somewhere else to go to!

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkk!!!!!

Ignore everything I have previously typed! The fucking bastard fucking organisers of the event I was at on Saturday morning have now said it's going to be on Sunday morning, so I can make Saturday after all. Fucking unreliable wank sticks!!!!!

Anyway, good news is I can make anytime on Saturday.

If nothing is forthcoming from Cerberus, perhaps an impromptu trip to Glyn Ceriog would be a good idea just to see if/how the site has changed since we were last there.

To be honest, I ain't travelling miles and wasting weekends just to look at a forest, that is the very least of stuff that has to be done with Glyn Ceriog. Maximise time, minimise costs - it needs to be a full blown planning meeting as well and thrash shit out there and then. Then the next time we are at site will be on game day. We needn't have had three trips to Drakelow with all the man hours that entailed had we spent time there instead of rushing away to something else.

Guy and Pete need to be at this at the very least as the event will rest in their hands being side commanders.

No probs, just give me plenty of notice. Free weekends are getting rare for me at the mo.

Well, as you know, I have every other weekend off. There's the occassional birthday/anniversary/piss up on those free weekends but, generally I'm able to do recces or meetings on those free weekends.

A visit/meeting at Glyn Ceriog is a priority "must" I think. Perhaps after the training day, when we'll have an idea of how many Jed's we'll actually have? We'll also have an idea how bookings are going for the Germans by then as well.

Just a quick question. Will Guy be an option for this? He mentioned online that he was attempting to patch things up with his wife. Is he expecting to have the freedom to attend?!

My question is, do we need to formulate contingency.

LOL, yes, he will be running the German side for Jedburgh, I'll be doing Devils Hill (or whatever).

Just at the moment he has split with Sarah and they have both left the Old School House and are settling into new homes. Guy doesn't have interweb at the new place yet but is thinking of dongle/3G web access instead of the hassle of getting broadband sorted. He is at the end of a telephone though, indeed I spoke to him today.
