This from Jezz, formerly of KGB Cornwall but now does stuff with SWWG. I've played with him a couple of times in Cornwall and also at D-Day & D-Day+2.
Site looks like it has some potential - Normandy or something...
A bugger to do recces at though. Still, I pass it on FWIW.

Hi Jezz here.
Just putting the feelers out for an organisation to run an event at this location.
It belongs to South West Wargames but we would be happy to provide the facillity for some one to run an event there. ( Per quid per quo arrangement)
If you have not seen it here's the link.(PL8 2EL)

http://www.swwargames.co.uk/the-village

Mixture of village buildings, open fields and woodland.

Just an idea at present but could work well for a WW2 event.

On site electric, flushing toilets, Large safe zone inside/ sleeping accomadation etc.

Reasons behind it .
No one has put on a senerio on the potential scale we can accomadate in this part of the country. (KGB , MIA, Etc.)

Looks good but, as you say, a hell of a way to go, just for recces, let alone the event itself! If I go on holiday to Cornwall, I'll sneak a look, otherwise, it's just too far.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Yeah, waaay too far. Hence no-one has organised events there I guess.

The site looks cool though, apart from the ultra ghey Wacky Warehouse style stuff.

Heh, make it a weekender. Wacky Warehouse on Saturday and WW2 airsoft on Sunday. Act like a kid the whole weekend - should be a winner!
I should be going to Cornwall for a zero cost holiday this summer so I might take a look if I can.

Yeah, a pity about the distance. There is a brilliant site down there with its own beach and ascent up to a fort just crying out for some commando beach landing assault or a Pont du Hoc scenario.

I'd go for it, just not sure the punters would. Perhaps worth raising a poll thread about it...

Zero cost holiday in Cornwall..good luck with that.

Heh, lucky enough to have a family cottage in Cornwall, just costs the diesel to get there! OK, as near zero as a holiday can be... :giggle:
