Had a chat with Ed at IED yesterday . They have a 1200 acre mixed woodland scrubland site in Shropshire near Bishops Castle .
Roads, dense forest, open forest , quarries , never been skirmished but ready to rock . We have offer of the use of it if we so desire, I was thinking of the first 24 hr Ostfront Game perhaps.

We need to make a site visit after Xmas with them , and then book up a date suggest May /June .

Being Shopshire its only 40 miles due West from Dudley, a lot more accessable to the midlands and not the same site as CR.

Also in discussions about become a partner in some sites up North , Halifax way , although these are a way of being complete , so keep it to ourselves ofr the time being . Would give us access to more new sites though.

Wow! It's great terrain around there, pretty hilly.

I takes about an hour to drive from the Birmingham area because the roads are quite poor.

I'd be very up for a visit there with you Guy, if you could make it a weekend.

I've no holiday to use until April!!

Yes, no problem with a site visit and Ostfront is a great idea... and along the same lines as CR, gameplay-wise (not an amble in the woods I mean).

You're all welcome to head up to mine the night before then leapfrog from there.

A nice night out in a civilised bar in Central Birmingham might be quit pleasant.

"nice" and "Birmingham". Didn't manage to find anywhere decent in the 3 years I lived there! lol

Sounds like an excellent idea to me.

There are plenty of very nice restaurants in Birmingham. Bank, Felini's, Simpsons, etc. You just need to know where to look.

Spoke to Ben today , he's up for a joint promo in May/June. I think we'll do the bulk of the work , however good to have a Russki on board.

Good, I asked him to give you a ring. He is keen to do it and it will also deflect him from wasting time organising (or thinking about) his own game. I don't want another 'committee' member but if he is going to get the Russian thing going then it helps that he is directly involved and takes a lead in the game. Whether he is in charge of the Russian forces as organiser or 1IC is a debate for another day...

For the record I'm not the slightest bit interested in gearing up for the Russian side.

& thats why i had to call him . We can discuss at DDay , happy to involve him if he actually does something.
He suffers from depression , can't drive, and can be a bit flakey ....um reminds me too much of someone else , but prepared to give benefit of doubt at this stage .

Pers could consider doing Partisan , not so assed with Russian . although I considered Yank TBH , I can't be assed with that or Brit .

I'd go partisan, but not the whole hog with a Ruskie loadout. Been pricing up Black Watch and 82nd loadouts, aint gonna be able to afford a Ruskie one as well lol
