I suggested to Chris that if he'd like to make a video then i could put him in touch with Rupe (old mate of mine) who likes doing that sorta stuff . Not interested in it myself, jsut thought it would appeal to Stubble .

To do a final 15 minutes short film , edited down from far more footage, aged, soundtracked etc would cost around £150 (10 a head for 15 people?). The rights to the video would be yours to sell etc , and TBH with a bit of arm twisting he could probably be bargained down ( I didn't tell you that of course )

I think you'll probably get 15 people or more to do this, and I think they'd all pay around £20-25 for the privelege. However, since the main purpose of doing this, is for publicity for CIA, as far as I'm concerned, would there be any support in terms of it being an official event and budget contributions from CIA. To do this properly, you'll need the cameraman, as you said, a pyro budget, as well as a site hire budget. I know the bloke who owns Riddlehamhope, for a hundred quid or so, he'll let us kip there and blow the feck out of the place in the morning. Anyway, its not going to happen without a fair bit of cash and although I'm game for it, it was your idea originally, so, I really think if you want a video, you'll have to give it some backing.

Knowing the site owner is good , using pyro without PLI is a bit dodgy , you might be better off with smoke for effects . TBH it would be more atmospheric and last longer than trying to get the perfect shot in time to a 25gm charge going off . (you can always add "explosion" noises later !)
CW is away for a bit, but I'll chat to the others. TBH we have no hidden reserves of funds, the last £100 we had got blown on the air raid siren !
We'll have a think anyway and see what we can do to help .

Thanks David, I'll try and get round to posting up the TD photos this afternoon when I get a bit more slack time. BTW a mate of mine, a web page developer, is doing a web page for me as part of his portfolio, its a freeby. This will be information only, covering recruits page, uniform guides, photo gallery, weapons reviews, tactics page, rank markings, dress regulations and bling guides. No forum, apart from a link back to the main forum here. Its not a "splinter off" thing or anything, just a way of generating more interest in the Kampfgruppe. Be about a month away.

An honest question deserves an honest answer, and that answer is no, we're not moving into traditional reenactment. We're doing one side of it only, "private battles" as you guys call them. We're primarily interested in period weapons, correct period tactics and uniforms and using them for our own self interest and pleasure. I can't see us doing public shows during the summer months or attending railway events, vintage vehicle shows or military fairs and such. So, to that end we're hybrids, hence the name "airsoft reenactors" which has been used in the USA for the past couple of years. We're no different from you guys, airsoft just gives you the opportunity to actualy pit your military skills against a live enemy, that you can actually shoot at and hit. i can see a time when whole groups of reeactors turn to airsoft in the winter months rather than blank fire exercises.
