We must get Ray Mears along to a WWII event. :giggle:

Ray's a nice bloke but, he's got no killer instinct! :giggle: Now, Lofty Wiseman, there's a REAL outdoorsman!

i seem to miss every sneaky beakey game CIA do as its always in july.

It should be the second weekend of July

Hurrah! I think I might actually be able make this one (sorry Porta). I have a regular annaul weekend wargames event in July, but for once this year it is 6th-8th.

Cheers

CiA are happy to announce "Operation Foxley", to be held over the weekend of 7th/8th July 2012. We will post up more information in due course but, I will let slip the following....

It will be a full 24 hour event, running from noon on the saturday to noon on the sunday.

The SOE operatives will be operating in 2 man teams, expected to operate for the full duration of the event.

The Germans will operate from a fixed base and, be relatively comfortable (at least compared to the SOE!) and, have the use of vehicles.

Expect lots of tension, mistrust and unpredictability!

As long as I don't have to carry another concrete radio I could be up for SOE, lots of pain killers for my hip and better belt order and I should be good.

"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

SOE operatives will only have to carry what they need to live out in the field for 24 hours, so, the weight of it is down to you! No concrete radios, I promise! SOE will also have multiple options for what uniform/clothing they can wear. I will also be running a training day, as promised, in the run up to the event.

Oh bugger, I can't make that one, have another event already booked and paid for.

Well, one year I'll manage to get to the CiA summer game...

Have fun everyone.

Ok the posts all saying you can't come are useful, but honestly not needed .

SO A lot of Germans ....what's in it for them ? Well it's early days yet , but as well as guarding the Fuhrer, and watching the SOE lumber about there are thoughts to introduce a number of extra dimensions to keep us on our guard. Maybe it's not only the SOE who want Hitler dead ....who can you trust ? That bloke walking into camp could be a loyal German , and SOE in German kit or a German who's thinking is more along Count v Staffenburghs views. Passes might count for something , or if you are charged with guarding the Fuhrer who do you allow near him . This will be a thinking as much as shooting game , not just sat around drinking coffee or trekking through woods .

Will the training day be ran close to the time so we don't forget what we learn? Can't wait!! Hope there's loads of Jerries! Likethe thinking of the whole Valkerie angle!

same problem for me, it's the missus' birthday on the 12th July, so can't get away that weekend.

Well, at least not with my bollocks intact, I'm already hopefully away for my own birthday weekend so i can get to yours and Oddball's event.
