This is probably jumping the gun a bit as we've only just had Hauptmann Horn and Schlauan hasn't even run yet (I can't even spell it!), but I was wondering if a CiA game was planned for autumn 2011 and if so, roughly when it might be?

I am 50 in October and She Who Must be Obeyed is agitating about arrangements. I certainly don't want to be arranging anything which might clash with a potential game.

Cheers
Martin

CiA have a game scheduled for October. We haven't announced any details yet because we haven't quite tied down the site yet, so, watch this space!

One of my favorite war movies. You really need the German language version with subtitles, not the terribly and inaccuratley dubbed English language version!

Really hope the site comes through for this one, should be epic :good:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

I would so be up for a Stalingrad weekender game, another chance to use my as yet unused German gear.

Ah, so that is still the plan, Kermit mentioned it last year. I'll be a heroic defender of the motherland for that one, rolling around in the rubble in my plash :)

If you could let us know the date asap, it would be much appreciated.

Za rodina.

Just make sure you aren't that guy who gets tasked with knocking out that MG in the factory after the artillery barrage.

may well be up for this one if its after the 8th oct (on holiday).
if stuck for a site there is a suitable one opened up down my neck of the woods run by elitebattlezone. massive derelict factory with four floors.

Can't say too much , but 15th October looks good, "Long Day" event (11 am start till nightfall plus camping /social afterwards) , in a new large wooded site with vehicles and proper pyro permitted .
More to come .

er .....re - read ! :happydance:

Long Day is 8-10 hours all on one day , event ends at nightfall or shortly afterwards . Non period camping/ social everyone goes home Sunday . It's 3 days after full moon so should be a lot of light early evening and the terrain is quite open so lots of dusky fun for all ...

Damn, don't think I can make this one either as it clashes with NYMR.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.
