Thanks C-W! :happyclap: Looks like I've got some extra reading to do!

Also, thanks to all for the vote of confidence and giving me the kick up the arse to drop PBI before I smothered Yith in his sleep! Here's to looking forward to future CiA games and I hope to "do my bit" and be of at least some use to you all.

They took it pretty well. I think they were expecting it anyway, after my posts on the PBI website/forum in the wake of some Yith/Gadge/Scaleyback teddy throwing. I also took exception to some of the anti CiA comments that had started to appear and Yith was/is totally unbearable. Evo is the only sane one among them.

I'd have quit sooner but I'd committed to doing the training day as a "fund raiser". I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders!

Having read through all 79 pages of the CiA discussion thread, I think I've found a bunch of people that are even more unbalanced than I am!

Well, its all relative - we thought you were sufficiently unbalanced to fulfill team criteria. Accepting the invitation just proved our diagnosis.

But something must be working, we have managed to hold it together for three years!

I've read all of the CiA discussion thread and, even over a period of years, there's hardly any hissyfits, compared to loads of them on the 1 month old PBI forum!

Edit - Thought I'd better add my contact number, which is 01902 417351 (I don't have a mobile. Yes, I know I'm a Luddite!). Also, I'm first aid trained (tested every year).

'Ello Pete, good to have you here. Welcome to the inner sanctum of CiA, which, er, differs from David's inner sanctum, which he only allows Helga to enter (and only if she asks nicely first)

As to your previous comment about smothering Yith, meh, there's a queue. Take a ticket and get in line

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Formal welcome to the inner sanctum Pete . We're all on holiday so the next two events are yours to get up and running ( you don't think you were invited for your looks do you? :giggle: )

We don't argue too much , we've known what we want and since G & Y were evicted it's been sooooo mcuh easier .

Me & Kermit are the arsey ones
David likes to play devils advocate / the nice one
Stephens just nice

so

you have the chance to sweep the balance in favour of the nasty

anyway ......

I'll hopefully catch up in person soon !

I have the capacity to be all three! (Depends who I'm talking to, as I don't suffer fools).

Thanks for the welcomes chaps. Looking forward to meeting up with you all soon.

If you could wait until after tomorrows' site visit, when we've had a chance to chat, that would be better.

That's what I mean. Given the tone of his pm's to Dave, I'm no longer concerned with being diplomatic when it comes to PBI.

Proposed announcement for comments...

Fab Four becomes Famous Five!

The Comrades in Arms organising team has the greatest pleasure in announcing that Pete Dunn (Sgt. Heide) has accepted our invitation and is now the fifth member of the CiA team.

This move brings on board his experience not only in the military but also in running airsoft sites, organising games and training events.

Pete has already been thrown in the deep end with the challenge of helping put together our upcoming Red Army based event.

"I have always been impressed with the time, effort and commitment CiA has dedicated to furthering the cause of WW2 airsoft events and I'm delighted to have been invited onto the board. I look forward to adding my own experience to the mix, sharing the workload and putting all I can into creating interesting, challenging and unique events that CiA is renowned for." Pete Dunn

"I can't begin to say how pleased we are Pete accepted our invitation. He must be barking mad to do so of course, an ideal qualification to be a CiA team member! After three years, defying all logic, Comrades in Arms moves into the forth year with renewed vigour after a couple of recent disappointments with events not coming to fruition. We look forward to a stunning 2010 with innovative and challenging events to tempt WW2 enthusiasts away from their WW2 computer games, DVDs and books and onto the battle field." Chomley-Warner

Heh, I'm used to writing press releases that 'quote' named people without them uttering a single word!

The difference with this to other press releases though is that it isn't 'puff' - I meant every word!
