So does anyone really know exactly what's going to happen at this?

All seems a bit quiet considering it's two weeks away!

Er, fairly good idea. Josh's timed scenario was a bit of a giveaway!

The marshals or whatever Josh calls them are controlling the gameplay, clearly the Allies will have to be let off the beach and the battle allowed to roll back to the woods, one way or the other.

Guy has been 'advising' Josh so I'm pretty sure it's not going to be too ghey.

Anyhoo, we just turn up and play! Looks like I'm in charge of the SS guys, you are 1.IC HS? What roles for Guy, Jay and Garreth?

No idea if I'm 1 i/c. I offered the option.

I meant do we know in more details how everything's laid out at all? Do we know the locations of the scenarios, where people will be dropped and how?

Do we know specific start points and how we get to them?

Or are we just leaving all this to Josh and going with the flow on the day.

Perfectly happy to do the latter, just don't want any nasty surprises.

Ditto

I intend to take the same approach I take with TA events ...er..

.... turn up ...don't pay ...get pissed Friday night ....swan around in my Landy a bit ...take the piss lots .....take pictures of the fattest cnut I can find for later embarrassment on ASSCOCK ( myself excluded).....go to the pub/ Indian Chip shop Saturday night ...sleep late Sunday ...go home .... take the piss some more on hidden bits of this forum :D

I did have a game plan ...and then I ate it .

In conclusion , my secret discussions with Untersturmfuhrer Kermit have decided that we , CiA and maybe a few select mates , will have an Offiziers Canteen, complete with field phone to the front line and well stocked wine cellar liberated from the frogs . Whilst sipping wine , and heavily defended with the 50 cal and an MG42, we shall walt it up in our best dress uniforms and let the fucker getting all the cash do the hard work .

Chommer's obviously won't be getting pissed ( and has been enlisted into Stubble's private fantasy world) , Gadge niether and Stephen volunteered to the German commander , so EKI for him . As the only Standartenfuhrer in the village of Myrthyr Mawr I am immune from orders unless one of you rushes off to Nick Morigi in the next 10 days and badges up as Reichsheini

Heil me , alles Klar !

I think I said that I'd do it if no-one else was prepared to step up, which isn't exactly a glorious leap into the position of 1i/c.

My general orders for the entire event will be, go shoot people, you'll find me in the mess.

To be perfectly honest, i think Josh has probably decided whats going to happen and when - storyboards and all (just to get a "film term" in there for Stephen ;) )

How am I going to play it? chivvy them up, point them in the right direction etc etc. Spoke to Guy about this, me and him will be on site quite early on the Friday getting the full story from Josh (thats if he *knows* what the full story is himself!)

Regarding the whole 1IC thing, if you do it Stephen, i'll play back-up on it.

There is a rough game plan , Saturday pm on the beach , saturday in the wood . Josh has aledgedley written a load of sub missions based around the props he's bringing .
TBH it all depends on the weather IMHO , if it's pissing down an hour on the beach will finish most of em off.
Plus he's using Marshalls to run the game , sit back and enjoy the view or lead some squads , no major effort either way .

Ps I'm bringing a large white staff to connect with Josh's other event

YOU SHALL NOT PASS
from ontop the dune in my SS gear ,

Oh i always enjoy myself, it's just the stress levels that change

and remeber we are co promotingn not co organising....unless it's a rip roaring success and then we did it all .

Plus if it is going well we need ot get the AI bloke (not our one ) pissed and get him ot write lots of nice things about CiA 8)

You are right, we have to get to know Paul. I've met Lawrence before, nice bloke. Their tech writer seems a bit, well, erm...

We are going to have to do a bit of thunder stealing  - it will be a real shame if subsequent article is all about Gunman and WW2 airsoft and not CiA WW2 airsoft. I dunno about getting him pissed but lots of photos of us would be my aim along with the better kitted of CiA players rather than Gunmans dressed up lot.

Their Tech Ed is a cunt. Bit of a sociopath apparently.

Lawrence is ok, though a littl bit obsessive (ok, REALLY obsessive) at times.

Monaf? I may work with him, but it doesn't mean I like him. He's a two faced lying rip-off merchant.

I say we get him pissed. Chop him up into small bits. Bury him in the woods.

Oh shit, did I actually say that out loud?

Not only into range - there won't be a beach at all. Take a look at the map and does that high tide line mean what I think it means?

All depends on the height of the tide that day, looking at the chart it's a low-ish high tide if you get my drift.
