With regard to the 'no hi-cap mag' rule, will you make an exception for the S&S sten which uses a built in high-cap mechanism.

The sten is an exception:)

If you go to operations you'll know what your role is as you would have had a weekend with you unit bonding, otherwise you can chose on the day. The medic is not a popular role and you'll be a blessing im sure:)

Sorry, going into my dumb mode here, I might`ve missed the answer. Is ammo included in the price or do we have to bring our own/buy it on site? :)

i thought we brough our own but only allowed to use mid caps or low caps no type of winding mech's. we ll thats my understanding. any pryo's wanting to be used has to be inspected by the site first.

thats what i understood from their rules on the actual place but i will also be intrigued by the response to this

EDIT: also can we carry rubber bayonet ts and also do knife kills count?

cheers

Hello Josh. Just Noticed I might have a slight problem, I was going to role as a GJ sniper using a maruzen K98, but it's 8mm, and I know alot of other guys on here have 8mm firers, so will you be allowing 8mm firers, obviosly chromo'd with a slightly heavy rnd (.27g is the lightest) to a lower level?(I think 280 fps equels 1J with a .27)

Edit
283.5 fps with a .27g BB= 1J
329 fps with a .2g BB = 1J
429 fps with a .27g BB = 2.3J
500 fps with a .2g BB =2.31J

Clearly 500fps would be with .2g 6mm, 8mm is under query at the moment but would be equivalent power anyway, as Syd points out.

Seems mad a sniper has to start with 100 rounds, 100 rounds aint a problem with a real steel weapon where you get a hit every time, but we know its not like that with airsoft,

Yep, that would be the chrono power, When I am using sniper rifles be it 6mm or 8mm they are .45's anyway. Gives you a much more stable flight, thats neither hear nor their anyway. Thanks CW

If you can survive for a full 10 mags with the K98 then I'll be amazed Steve! 100rnds should be OK - if you take on a true sniper role and sneaky-beaky then you will only get 5 rounds off before being discovered - if you attack from the front taking advantage of a bolt action's higher fps then blatting away with 600 rounds might be considered a bit much. Just shoot off your 100 rounds then return to CP for reload, which is fair enough. Don't forget to take the huge quantity of gas you are going to use!

Not really sure about the logistics of some of these rules.

a couple of queries:

1. helmet hits don't count. what's to stop people poking their gun and head over/around a wall and just spraying ammo at anything that moves? effectively they're indestructable and unsupressable if they're wearing a helmet!

2. Engineers paintball usage. Who's paying for my replacement ww2 kit/webbing when i get hit with brightly coloured paint if i'm inb a vehicle? And before anyone says it's water-based, i used to do paintball, and that crap doesn't come out of most fabrics/webbing

the first problem just seems counter-intuitive, the second downright wrong.

Think i'll be giving this one a miss, myself.

Fair enough each to their own .
To a degree the rules are still being kicked around at the moment , thanks for raising these points.
Re webbing who pays for it when it gets damaged in any other game? . You have to take what you don't mind loosing I find .

as far as the kit goes, fair enough, but it's not like it's down to wear or damage that can be repaired, one stray paint hit and half your kit could be ruined, or at least permanently an unpleasant shade of blue/yellow/red!

i just personally don't think there's any place for paintball in airsoft.

umm, having done some of Josh' ww2 airsoft in the past, that paintball bazooka was only used to fire at buildings etc, and given the time of year, and the low velocity of that weapon, i dont remember them paintballs even breaking all day :)
