M43's are fine if you have them. Also equally acceptable are M42's for the para's and M41/mustards for the GIR.

Apart from Boryszyn, this year is all about getting maximum use out of gear that many already have, rather than expecting them to spend more money on kit. So, most U.S players already have something suitable. Many already even have 82nd patches left over from St.Lo!

Unbadged is equally acceptable. :good:

Is this going to be 'members' only or can anyone sneak in? :P .

Open to all. In fact, we've only ever done one "members only" event.

It's one of the few "para vs para" battles, so might be time to dust off the FJ kit Del. Although there's scope for Waffen SS and Heer as well.

Both!

Fallschirmjäger for me. That'll be the second time in a month (Op Sealion), after a long FJ absence.

So is it anything goes for the Germans or is it TBC?

Fallschirmjäger for me.

Same here. Would be nice to get a sizeable FJ contingent together. The mixed kit used by that stage of the war should make it possible if people are willing.

Sounds good to me.

May be just standard old infantry kit for me instead of M43s and buckle boots unless I find what I need cheaply. Ruskie and WWI Tommy impressions will probably clean me out of cash...

Whatever the case I'll be there as GIR. :good:

That would be great but the battle also allows for SS and Heer troops, should people not have FJ kit. One of the reasons we've chosen this battle is the variety of units involved. Same goes for the septics, both glider infantry and paratroopers are equally suitable. As I've said, it gives players a choice and a chance to use the kit that's been gathering dust from lack of use.

Yith, I don't have M43's either and I don't intend to buy any for that matter! There is no need for anyone to buy kit specifically for this event.

K, I just think its nice when you have a big bunch portraying the same unit. I wasn't suggesting that people get new kit. However by mixing LW kit people have with the Heer/SS kit of others it can be stretched to equip 2 or 3 times as many people to pass as FJ. Afterall the kit used by that stage of the war was pretty varied.

For instance I'd be happy in my fleigerbluse, jump boots and FJ lid mixed with Heer kit, leaving my smock, jumptrousers and cap as loners to equip a 2nd fallschirmjager. Buts thats only if anyone is interested in doing that of course.

Anyway I'd wandering off topic. Put me down as interested, its on my doorstep anyway.
