Devil's Hill weekender is coming up fast. While it looks like the German side mayreach 20 the US side is decidedly short of players.
We are nowhere near break-even point yet and we have no funds to run this game at a loss.
The stark reality is that if we don't reach at least 19 players a side then Devils Hill will be yet another WW2 airsoft event to be binned.
The cut-off date for bookings is the 18th September which will be decision day, game or no game.

To those with spare US kit, please cajole friends to join us. To those who know US players who haven't booked, give 'em a nudge.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Achhhh zum teufel auf dem Amis....
if the US have no stomach for a 24 hour event then what about canning them and enlisting the Russkis?
Any Russian out there prepared for a large scale rumble ?
I have booked as German but am willing to swap sides if needs be rather than have this cancelled....
ill switch side to russian if it goes that way
"Take that you rotton helping of strawberry flan!"
Joseph Porta to "strawberrys and cream", in the sven hassel book ,ogpu prison
Heh, Guy was just having a tease, this event will be pukka Market Garden or bust! ![]()
In theory we should be OK if chaps pull their fingers out and put their names on the dotted line, if only to stop us wondering if this organising lark is worth the hassle.
BTW Russians will be well looked after in 2011 ![]()

i can do russian too , keep us posted..

Airsofter? Ace? Antidisestablishmentarianism? Arsehole?
Actually, AFRA - as an aide mémoire for me to prepare Risk Assessments for members. ![]()

That expalins it - I was begining to feel left out!
Just for info - there are 2 more members of Fox booking in tonight and it looks like another will be next week. We're slowly getting to the magical number!

Cheers Jon and Mi-go, splendid stuff.

Unfortunately...i cant book onto this event. As ive got plans that weekend. Also most of Dog Company are away on location in spain, until mid Novemeber. So i cant offer them up.
Hope the event goes ahead. Good Luck!
Yes, the event will be going ahead even without the 15 or 16 members of Dog Co.
The sadness is though that this was the first opportunity for US airborne 'elite' to show their metal with an accurate scenario based around them. It also had a nice twist of airborne fighting airborne troops.
Ah well, perhaps this reveals the waning of the popularity of the jump-suited impressions and the rise of more representative impressions based on real life rather than popular entertainment.
Lesson learned, plenty to go at for the 'ordinary' soldier for next year's CiA events!

it would be fun being out numbered.... just gives the US more to shoot at.
hell , fighting up hill , through valleys and thick forrests while being seriously out gunned is my idea of a bloody good time ![]()
ohh i hope it rains too ![]()
and no im being sarcastic
Game on!

really? Quite frankly that was uncalled for. Let us hope that more repesentative impressions does not sound the death knell for this genre.
The ordinary soldier, I'm sure would be much happier without us so called "elite".
