Not sure about everyone else but when im getting shot at or attacking/defending , especially on hills i find adrenaline keeps me warm. (and a nice cup of tea)

Don't worry Stu, we'll all be fine. I guess the elderly feel the cold a lot more.

lol i think its mainly the german side that are worried, maybe they think they will be spending long lengths of time camped out on the hill firing multiple Mg42's at us poor American forces.... Oh come now fella's you should know us better than that by now :)

On a more serious note , i know where chommers is coming from , its fekkin cold this time of year and as many people that went to churchills will remember , the weather can play a serious part. That said i went to hayle last weekend and was actually getting a sun tan on the beach.... you never know in this country, lets all play weather lotto and see what we get.

You can always leave your spare , dry , comfort clothing in your cars.
As my grandad used to say "its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, just dont expect some other guy to carry it!"

I'm also taking thermal layers, but mainly for Saturday night.

I was wandering around the house last night trying various combinations of headovers and hats which caused a degree of domestic hilarity.

Forecast so far is light southerly winds but overcast, possibility of some light showers.

Cheers
Martin

Mind you southerners are a soft bunch! It's fair tropical out! We "real" northerners are obviously made of sterner stuff! It's t-shirt weather! We geordies refuse to wear much else. Hahaha. (Watch me blub up the hillside!)

What is all this 'Germans camped on a hill' malarky. As far as I am aware shouldn't the US Paras be on the hill'?

In actual fact, this will be an ideal opportunity for me to wear my M43 cap with Ohrenschützer in the evening. 8)

As a point of interest.

Rivock Edge has a trig point. It's 359m altitude.

Weather wise , so far it's looking like 7 degrees C and a 6mph breeze in the evening.

RIGHT CHAPS

ive been on the blag at work , and ive grabbed some stuff for saturday nights drinking tent

im bringing a generator, floodlights and a space heater that runs on gas, and a big 19kg propane gas bottle that should burn for 8 hours.
so whatever the weather, saturday night can be warm and dry.

does anyone have a large army tent? it will allow better containment of the heat, if not fine, tinys bringing a waterproof tent, but without sides, people will have to stand on a cone formation to get some heat :D
