me and bro went to saber 2 weeks ago (nearly complete brit load out £100).....

Hi Che,

Wonder if you'd mind letting me know what this consisted of? I've been pricing up Brit stuff from various sources & repro 40 Pattern Battledress alone came to around £200!!

Thanks in advance.

John. :)

HI John, If you go with '49 pattern BD (that's all Sabre will have, BD-wise) and can convert/are happy with 'looks-like', then a BD and trews will cost bugger all. '37 pattern webbing is what they have absolutely tons of, and that's all dirt cheap too.

Looks like my Bro' and I will now be able to get to Sabre after all. I'm picking up my next car at 0900hrs on saturday 25th, so can set my new satnav and head straight down from Burton hopefully around 1000hrs, arriving around 1300 - 1400hrs ish.

Would it be a good idea to exchange mobile numbers via pm, so we can all at least meet up in the pub and compare bargains before heading to the site?

Yes John, it's on the wifes' phone. Even if I arrive a bit later, I'm sure you guys will still be there, sifting through mountains of 37 pattern!

It'll take me a bit longer to get there from Burton where I'm collecting the car, than it would from home(Easy M6, M5, M40, etc) but I'm sure it won't be that much longer. I know my Bro' is planning on getting a ton of stuff and I need a few bits as well. I'd also like to see HMS Victory if time allows.

It'll be my Bros' number John, as I don't have a mobile (believe it or not, I HATE them). As soon as I get his number, I'll pm it to you.

We could meet up at the cafe by the seafornt and the amusement arcade (we usually end up there)

Its near sabre.

Failing that D-day museum is easy to find.

Any of the undead not haunting the tunnels at UCAP can be found in the amusement arcade:

There's the ghost of Reebok past,
The spirit of Burberry
and a load of tortured souls clanking their goldie looking chains

I can't get your link to work, Rich. Is the cafe on Clarence Esplanade or Pier Road ?
