OK, just to gauge some feelings on this.

It's going to be a pig - though not impossible - to get another underground site for this bash. So I got thinking. Given that playing in the dark seems to be an intrinsic part of the Projeckt Wotan experience, would an Urban site played at night be acceptable as well?

I don't want to do a carbon copy of Wotan, but I want the same "in the dark, what the fuck is creeping around over there....." feeling.

Hmm, maybe people could arrive on a Saturday early afternoon, sunset's at 4.30pm on 1st November.

Start playing at 4.30pm, play through until 10.30pm (6 hours) with a break for food and water included, then social, bed-down and go home Sunday morning.

Limit it to 30 players max and it could be a good un.

Might be an idea.

It doesn't have a great appeal for me. UCAP was fine in the dark because there was nowhere to go and the hazards were limited to bumped heads - that is to say, fairly safe. I've played Phoenix Urban at night with just Team Phoenix (as was) at it was treacherous - it was fun but I wasn't running it therefore not carrying the can. Having said that night games in woods have just the same potential for injury!

Still, I can be sold to the idea - were you thinking of any particular site - and what about the site you were talking about - er, I forget, some former storage facility?

If we're going to go underground again, there's a couple of places that look possible. The first is Tom Andrew's Epsom site (which is OK, by all accounts), what is *much* more interesting is the old Fallout site in Essex. It's recently changed management. IIRC, it's an old 3 level underground nuclear bunker. It's over near Basildon, so it's not too bad to get to from the M25. Needless to say, the benefit of being underground is that it doesnt matter if its cold and pissing down above ground.

Will research both of them further, and report back.

The Bunker looks to be very interesting http://www.thebunkercqb.co.uk/contact.php

Easy for southerners to get to - not inaccessible for northerners.
Over 18's rule and 320fps max shouldn't be a problem, hell, how awesome would a pistols only game be?

I'd like to flag up a game date sooner rather than later, if only to stop people booking at Josh's game - I don't think players would do both, given the amount Josh is charging.

I'll have a chat to them this week.

Also on the site front, was having a chat to a site operator I know whose currently in the process of acquiring two more sites. One of which would be abso-fucking-lutely awesome for a game. He agrees with me and says we can use it :)

WW2 Buildings + Site that looks like Normandy Bocage + roads/tracks + no limits on pyro = awesome.

Sadly, im sworn to secrecy about where it is - for the time being.
