This one looks like one that the doughboys should be at in force!
Would love to, and hopefully shall be. Of course I have to run it by the other chaps but we should definately be in, provided we can get and suchness.
Sounds good...M41 at the ready
i think ill be up for this depends on travel
Most definitely up for this one.
Hmmm, probably not, don't like the Tuddenham site at all.
Should be ok for this depending on how much etc.
OK we have been thinking about this.
Given that there is quite a bit of interest in a lot of the Doughboys attending, and that we have a tendency to live in the north, what are people's thoughts on travelling.
As we three tend to pile three people and gear into a car that really only just fits three people in it, and given the long distance we were considering hiring something more 'sizeable' to do the journey in. Plus we could then give Marsha a lift as she is on our way down and it would save her lugging loads of stuff on a train.
My question is would such a vehicle, of perhaps minibus size, be of use to any others for getting down there, in regards to it probably working out cheaper, and less of a lonely long drive, than individual cars?
There's a while yet but I thought I would throw it out there for long term planning thoughts.
Well I'd probably go down in the zafira with loads of stuff in the back. The building on site to sleep in is okay, but looks a bit drafty to me so I'd take my tents you see!
I dont mind coming across and coming down on a mini-bus, also dont mind driving.
Bear in mind that to drive a minibus you'll need to have taken a special test, or taken your standard driving test before 1 Jan 1997. (D1 Category on your licence).
for me to drive anything I would have to go and take a test, though I am assuming the driver is aware of such factoids.
I don't know much about the site, i.e. if it is covered in concrete, but didn't know if they would have liked a US camp of sorts for the game or some suchness.
There is space to set up tents... there is also a dafty barn to sleep in.
Take a bed or thick rollmat, the ground is HARD; whether camping or in the barn.
Bookings have opened for this one. It's quite cheap... who is up for it?
I'll be there, can't miss one that's so close to where I live
I'll be there, prolly carly too, but we'll see
We three, and perhaps even a four...
ill be coming
Nice one marsha!
