i keep getting this message " It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image."

That will be one of your other images in your signature that is no longer available or the server is down, not the new one.
(Having taken a quick look I see it is the Cassino one, hosted on crappy Imageshack. I've replaced that with one hosted on the WW2 server and all is OK now.)

Because you didn't use the correct Cassino code. All working codes are always posted on this sticky: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5261
