Had a great time, big thanks to Josh and the rest of the organisers :good:

My personal highlights:

Clash losing the use of her legs friday night.
The overall level of gameplay, sportsmanship etc
Getting a Luger kill
Toms double Luger charge
Shooting Josh in the nuts

Great to see everyone again, see you at the next one :D

Yup, cracking game, one day was just enough for my old bones.
The late on out of bounds confusion was for me the only fault but it was resolved quickly and did not mar the fun.
I love the general air of fatalism that descends on the Soviet players during the day.
It is your job to die and you get used to it. Kill fascists until they kill you. Your death will lead towards the ultimate victory....sometimes. :D

had an awesome time :good:
friday night was epic, even though there was only like 10 of us and all i can remeber is sitting on the floor throwing stuff at coley cus he wont let me join the fj.
saturday was brilliant, and just as good as anzio even if there was far less off us. i think us russians put up a good fight even though we were outnumbered and had far less smg's.
moment of glory came when i got killed as i was too busy telling a dead tom how much of a fail his double luger charge was

josh sacrificing his nuts for the motherland was one of the most memorable parts of the game, and i wont forget how he was pointing out one of the huge open manhole covers to me and then nearly fell down the one directly infront of him.

worst part was i forgot the vodka :( though with hindsight that might have been a good thing

merry christmas all

Another great day out, and a big enough turnout to keep things interesting without being overwhelming.

Enjoyed the scenarios and the level of immersion, plenty of moaning casualties littering the battlefield. Great standard of play and good camerederie with my Soviet comrades. I do enjoy playing the Russians, all you can hope to do is die with glory. Roll on Sevastopol in February.

Cheers

First off, congrats to Josh, Coley, and all your crew for another brilliant event.
Second, a big thanks to all my russian brothers and sisters, a new motto:
'outnumbered, but rarely outgunned!'
And last to the german forces, well deserved victories but you had to work hard for them.
Top moments through out, but two stand out:
The rapture at which the braizer was greated on the friday night and the gusto to which the smashing of Josh's garden furniture was taken to. :giggle:
The fail to understand Josh when at building six. having him shout grenade, me run out of building thinks one had come in. No, me to chuck the grenade at the ten advancing germans just outside.
Cant wait for the next one.

Great bash on Friday night and terrific gameplay on Saturday.

Thanks to everyone involved and especially to Liz for not bringing any vodka :)

A little photo of some us keeping warm around Josh's patio furniture:

RETIRED, thanks for some truly memorable times and great people

Despite weapons trials and tribulations I had a thoroughly good time, thanks again to Josh et al.

It is odd; if you were to say to me Charlie you are going to spend a day outside in the freezing cold and damp in December I would normally make a not so polite apology and leave but if you add that I am to be dressed up in fancy dress and will be carrying a (all be it non-functioning) toy WWII weapon I couldn't be happier.

Highlights were failing with Josh to stop the Hun move their 4th crate, failing to even fire one shot in the first three plays in the afternoon before either being shot myself or the objective being taken but making up for that with three kills after regenerating, and 2/3 of those were even German (sorry Nigel!).

All in all I like to think I failed all day but did so heroically. Counting the days to Sevastopol when I can spill yet more (of my own) blood defending the Motherland.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

A couple of pics, including the heroic defenders of bunker B4. A defence to be mentioned in the same breath as Stalingrad, Lenngrad, Kursk....

Cheers

I only managed to take a few. When we were actually playing it was either a bit busy to be taking pics or there was no-one around!

look at that soppy grin on my face

I'm sure it would make a nice profile pic :)

Cheers
