Surely this is a restricted (FAC required) item, being part of the bolt and trigger assembly?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320500910226&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Item number: 320500910226

I don't think so, as it's not 'pressure bearing' which I believe is the deciding criteria.

Pressure, as in combustion?
Though I must admit I thought that any part of the bolt assembly needed FAC to acquire, let alone a part which is the main cocking lock/sear. Anyone know for sure?

Well there's an unmodified one in my deac as far as I know. Otherwise I'd not be able cock it!

I think most places don't sell them because they're usually attached to the firing pin, so they're not sure if they should be restricted.

D'oh! :slap:

If it's any consolation, it's for a pattern to possibly make a replacement for the the back of the VSR bolt. Depending on complexity, i may make a batch.

That'd be cool ,I only wanted it to use as a pattern to make an alloy one .

You buggers! I started the bidding on that, that's why I queried before I bid!

Exactly what I was bidding on it for! :) Great minds, and all that, eh?....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WWII-German-HBT-M ... 19ba57891f

I was searching for an HBT uniform on ebay and came across this trader. Has anybody got any experience of them? They seem to do a lot of Japanese kit too for those looking to get into Pacific games.

16th SS bought a load of kit from him and seemed happy enough with it. I've got one of his German tropical grey shirts and it's ok, especially for the price.

Hiki is HK Keith in another name, so I'm lead to believe from whatI've read/heard !!

As Pete stated, the 16th have bought loads from Hiki without problem, I've seen the kit up close and it looks/feels good. I've bought from Hiki personally as well and had no problems.

Just watch out for sizing, some items can be a little smaller than listed.
