Still as enthusiastic but just to let you know that I'm not checking in to the forum as often & long distance travel to games for first 6 months of year seems unlikely - at beginning of month elder daughter (17) had a stroke and tho she'll make a full recovery it'll take a few months before the clot clears and I'll not be travelling far from home before then.
Merry xmas to all and glad to read that the Brit contingent had a good'un at Autumn Mist.
Steve (woodlander)
Crumbs Steve. I do hope everything turns out ok for you all. Hopefully meet you some time during the year.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Thanks Steiner - I will be playing next year, just not early on
Give your daughter a huge cwtch (special hug) from me and my family and I hope the new year brings you all you wish for.
Best wishes to all of your family, John

Steve
Best wishes Woodlander and don't forget we're looking forward to reading your pamphlet on infantry tactics next time we meet.
Steve, I wish you and your family a merry christmas. I hope your daughter's recovery is speedy and full.
Hope to see you sometime later in 2009 - family comes first and all that.
Yes bad news but hope you and your family can make the best of it and have a good Christmas!
Hope she is well soon.
Free speech is expensive these days!
Hey woodlander,
I hope everything sorts itself out soon, and you make the best of the Xmas period. My grand father passed away on Sunday so things aren't as xmasy for our family either.
Merry Xmas
Hope she has a speedy recovery.
Cheers
Ranj
Thanks for all the good wishes which are much appreciated - such a friendly forum!
Life is pretty much back to normal though it will take about 3 to 4 months for the clot to clear (it is a rare one, being somewhat huge and in a vein rather than an artery) and so I'm not planning to be too far from home until then - hope to make a game in the early summer.
Barrie & Annie - thanks for mentioning the tactics pamphlet - I will bring copies to games idc though (unless plans have changed) there should be some (but not me!) at the forthcoming PBI training day.
BigUK - am sorry to hear of your loss, sad at any time - my condolences.
Steve
