You'll be looking, patterns for the uniform aren't available, well if they are I've never found them and I've been hunting a LOTs for them. You can buy books of the tailor plates but the prices of them are RIDICULOUS  and even then its merely diagramatical pictures showing construction ;)

If you have a willing seamstress/tailor then the way forward would be with pictures from as many angles as possible, your own measurements and knowing the detials (inside and out) of the clothing required ie where buttons are situated, what type of buttons (Militaria net has buttons available for a couple of quid a pack), stitching and any pleating required.

First port of call would be getting a picture showing what you want, and showing it to someone who can sew and seeing if they can make it up for you ;) note if you get it done proffessionally it will cost more than off the shelf HK stuff ;) and thats without considering getting the correct fabric ;)

Unless you buy replicators kit haivng it taliored wil be astronoically expensive when you can get the full set and make minor alterations for baout £50 if you buy it from spearhead.

Honeslty as had been said before best bet is one of barry lyndons tunic and trusers (they come with free insignia), a m43 cpa nd a belt wiht a breadbag, you dont need much more than that, a zelt is good for wet weather and camouflage.

Buy from here:

Barry is brilliant, he puts i free insignia, he's cheap, he doens ttake the piss with postage and he happily exchanges stuff that doesn not fit.

Also recommended, in fact, I rate his tunics as the BEST to come out of the far east, is http://www.reenactment-box.com

Size wise, he does up to 50R (52" chest!) Not the fastest supplier, but the best designed and manufactured tunics i've found so far from that part of the world.

Crumbs! With the USD / GBP rate the way it is at the moment, those are incredibly cheap prices!! And they include shipping!!! [exclamation mark key now broken through overuse...]

Blimey - £200!
Good job he was kind enough to show those illustrations - I won't need to buy it now
Very interesting even though they went berserk with the airbrush!

was thinking the same ;) would love to see all the book, but the price is way out of my range, although they come up quite often on ebay (all equally high priced  ) there was ages ago some plates came up for the M36 Jacket on one of the collectors websites, the price for them was the stuff of heart attacks
