I'm pretty certain that just shoulder boards is fine - no collar tabs, armband, eagles or indeed awards...

ok you say awards but i also wanted to add a insignia patch to it for sniper mark3. its a ww2 patch i found on ebay.

Sniper awards were never worn in the field. Snipers were reviled in WW2 and on the eastern front your were guaranteed to be executed and probably tortured if you were identified as a sniper so advertising the fact you were one would be suicidal. This is also why very few original K98 scopes exist today as sniper weapons were discarded, hidden or put under a tank track before the owner was at risk of being captured with it in his possesion.
AS CW says, just shoulder boards. The only time ive seen anything else was on a generals coat where the red/gold collar tabs were also applied.
“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942
"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

I've got a reference book which shows collar and shoulder insignia being worn on greatcoats but the pictures are of officers or senior NCO's. In the pictures, they are wearing sleeve eagles also. The officer is wearing an early type coat and, interestingly, it also has a cuff title. The book points out that this was NOT common practice and became even less common as the war went on.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Most SS EM either had no inisignia on thier great coats or just the Sleeve eagle. Shoulder boards were worn. Of course you'll always find pics to contradict this but it's the general way of things
so if i stuck the eagle on one of my arms that would be ok.
right or left?
