Just bought a collar liner for my Feldgrau tunic (as it said, "have you ever wondered what those buttons were for?"). Does anybody use them? Is it white side visible?

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I do! White side visible, seems a bit odd when you try to fit it as it goes down to the lapel not just round the neck.

Collar liners are for use with the *very* early collarless shirts. No use whatsoever if you use one of the collared shirts, plus, for some odd reason most of the modern repro tunics have the buttons for the collar liners stitched in the wrong place.

I found even with a collared shirt your neck rubs the wool tunic collar - softer on the skin and cleaner to use the liner, if not authentic!

I'll go for the panzy option. No greasy collars and red-raw neck for me! Also a light dusting of talcum powder around the neck and a dab of cologne behind each ear makes a hard days battling so much more bearable.

...to say nothing of the pink collar tabs..
You walk if you like Kamerad , the 27th Panzers rode into battle as I'm sure the Gregory brothers would agree ! I wear my pink waffenfarbe with pride.
