I have few wool items I am thinking about dying and need some advice. I havean M40 tunic, trousers and greatcoat from Pirchen that although I like very much I am not happy about the colour. I think they're much too light a green, more 'mint' than fieldgrey in my opinion. The tunic and trousers are probably ok as they are since they will get mucky pretty quick or will be under other clothing, plus it would mean taking off the insignia :slap:. However I'd really like to change the colour of the greatcoat as it is such a large expanse of materal I guess the colour difference more noticable.

Does anyone have any recommendations or advice about dying wool? I have no knowledge of doing it what so ever except that doing anything with wool is risky. Is it worth a go or am I likely to wreck the wool? Should I just leave it alone and learn to live with it? :|

I've got an old ish Olive drab woolen blanket, that has tabs along the sides, I presume to tie it together. I was thinking of dyeing it grey, so any advice please would be really great. Do Not want to dye our enamel bath grey, 'er indoors would skin me alive Lol
