Posting on behalf of a friend with this one, as I have no clue.

Were there any other users of the Erbsenmuster ('dot44') camouflage uniform? He recently acquired a fairly worn repro set in a cracking deal, and he was wondering which units - if any - used the camouflage beside the SS.

Anyone help us out here?

To the best of my knowledge Erbsenmuster was used exclusively by the SS. the SS and Heer didn't get along very well and they didn't like sharing, there's pictures of Hermann Goering panzer division in Eichenlaubmuster smocks but as far as I know that's the only time the Wehrmacht used SS camo. Open to correction on that of course.

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

As above, late war (1944+) Waffen SS.

You may find the odd Heer soldier (or more likely, officer) who had blagged some, but very unusual. There was a recent thread wrt units wearing the 'wrong' uniforms, and there was one photo of a very pleased looking Heer tank crewman in a pea dot panzer wrap, very much the exception. He may have been less pleased when captured by the Russians and shot out of hand.

Cheers

Which can happen just as easily in an airsoft battle, so be warned! :giggle:

Wearing my tan and water LFD jacket i've bene shot by my own side on a number of occasions! I gather it looks a bit like a Denison in some lights.

Either that, or the reputation of the LFD preceded you!
