Jeks - the Hans Sheffield ones aint much cop. The best repro shells are sold by Medieval Arms. Then fit a decent liner from the likes of RAU into it.

In 1944, the acute material shortages of the Third Reich led to a newer version, the MG45 (or MG42V), which had a different operation mechanism used retarded blowback as opposed to roller locking, used steel of lesser quality, reduced weight to only 9 kg, retaining the horizontal cocking handle. First tests were undertaken in June 1944, but development dragged on and eventually only ten were ever built. The tested Mg45/42V fired 120,000 rounds in succession at a rate of fire around 1,350 rounds per minute. The MG42V had some influence in the post-war development of roller-delayed blowback system, as employed in Heckler & Koch modern small arms. The MG45/Mg42V should be considered a different firearm however as the mechanisms of these guns were different from that of the MG42.

if we've nearly got a plane full, is there a possibility of you knocking a JU52 up during your recuperation, failing that a dfs230 glider might be a little easier. i could do some flying lessons if you need someone to pilot it.

Regarding the rank tabs, tried Nic Morigi yet? Normally pretty good for stuff like that.

I did a google and tried nic morigi, only thing I could find was originals....very pricey, might be fairly easy to make some up, have a look at the link, does that wing look like felt on fabric?

Yep just tried him , pretty good quality and delivery , although Officers belt is same quality as SOF .

My SoF EM's belt is most substantial, Guy - surprised to hear yours was poor.

Strange, the EM's belt i got from SOF was a crock of shit. VERY unhappy with the quality of the leather.

Bit weird, if you ask me....

It could all be batch by batch , the EM belt I got of Ebay is superb , esp given the waist it has to withstrain !
