Any ideas if this was ever done? Either way around, field grey tunic with Summer reed green trousers or vice versa.

Thanks, I could not imagine for a minute that it did not happen. I just think the HBT trousers might be better in the UK Summer.

The combination of drillich (hbt is a horrible american word 
) and wool would be mostly be seen in Italy and Southern Russia and can sometimes be found in Normandy pictures.
