It's repro stuff not original , think thats why some people have got upset , the EKI I got was excellent and WWII styled .
Germans are more obsessed with these thing than the Brits who tended to go for campaign medals instead.
The Yanks were just as bad IMHO with all their technical qualifications . "Able to dig a latrine pit , have a badge, able to dig three latrine pits?, have a bar for your badge . "
Ah cool - thanks for that. He hasn't got anything for sale at the moment, but I've sent him a message.

My stuff was posted 16 days ago by Spearhead and I still haven't got it. I know that covers Xmas and New Year, but should I be worried?
I'm fed up waiting, I can tell you.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Dont worry overly - post round christmas gets in a real backlog.
However when I did my order from Spearhead I was waiting for over 2 weeks - then I found out my stuff had been in the country for a week and with parcel force who had not bothered trying to deliver to me yet. It was just sitting at the local depot! I was not bloody happy I can tell you! You might want to see if Spearhead have a tracking number for your items - parcelfarce might be sitting on your stuff too.
Thanks, I'll do that.

My last Spearhead order took about 2 1/2 weeks, so i wouldn't worry about anything yet.
Reminds me. Must do another. Rather fancy a W-SS uniform this year...

Why this evening? - sounds kinky !
I'll PM you some "special" ones, Oldsweaty....
I didn't think the Diversity Police at work would like me to wear it during the day....!

I've bought M42 trousers and gaiters - the trousers have a cloth strip at the bottom, with two cotton strips off that, and a couple of holes in the trousers - what the heck do I do with all that??

LOL pass them under your foot and thread through the little hole and tie a bow! Might seem a bit like aerobics leggings but it does stop you trousers riding up esp if you wear jackboots.
Steiner reporting for duty, sir!
Achtung! Spitfire!
Ha, Ami - for you, the war is over!
Halt, or I fire!

A few questions: apparently, those are infantry shoulderboards, unless someone says otherwise?
I couldn't seem to get my gas mask tin on - either the former owner was a midget, or I wasn't doing it right.
Er.... that's it! I have a spare set of SS collar patches, with three metal studs and a Hohenstaufen cuff band, if anyone wants either of them.

V Good ! And added bonus for not being a fat German like me
Are you going officer or mann ? Thats an officers belt BTW , but Manns shoulderboards.
It makes a difference when you start to go for the lutzen and eagles etc .
Breadbag should be further round BTW , over your right ass cheek .
Both myself and CW have been coached on having the kit sehr korrect by an ex member of 2nd Battle group .
Ps Talk to Warren nicely and he should be able ot sort you some cheap and practical jackboots.

"I hate ALL officers!" I've got another belt, but need a buckle. I quite liked the "Rollo" look from Stalingrad - he was a Sgt or somesuch, with silver braiding around the collar patches and the shoulderboards. Unfortunately, regaliaspecialist doesn't seem to do those, so I will probably end up as an Obergefreiter.
Aww.... I just got those gaiters from Warren! Is it SO wrong to wear short boots?!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
also your kit looks really good
Short boots are post 43/late war owing to leather shortages (in 45 all non loadbearing or non footwear leather items (including officers belts) were made of 'prestoff' basically laquered cardboard!)
You can make two pairs of ankle boots for every one pair of jackboots. You see pics of old sweats wearing them but they were few and far between by the end.
If you're doing a late war vet then the odd bit of soviet kit isnt unlikely either, particularly boots.
Also if yo8u're doinga late war look a helmet cover in splinter pattern for heer is not unusal but a string net or simply chicken wire is very common
The germans by this point cammed the F**k out of everyting as if they didnt it got shot to bits by the allied air forces.. i've even seen *horses* cammed up with leaves and branches when on the move.
Breadbag really looks flat, stuff it out with a fat dish, you can get these quite cheaply. And a packet of acorn coffee as they'd ran out of coffee by this point too! (coffee copper, rubber, leather green paint - thats why all post 43 vehicles are dark yellow base , etc etc )
White is the right shoulder trim for infantry, red for artillary, orange for field police, pink for panzer etc
I'd likewise fill the pistol holster, you can get rubber film prop lugers and the like very cheaply.
Looking good as far as i can tell though, nice work. I reckon it'll look even better once its been gamed in and washed a few times for that vetrans look!
Top job mate.
